[ ooc - I'm a total buttface for holding up this thread. I'm sorry girls ): ]
While she wouldn't admit it to either of them, or anyone else for that matter, but there was something familiar about Gemini's attitude and mannerisms. Although there was the age difference, her excitement and willingness to take on any task reminded Jade of...Lian. However, the connection stopped right there. Jade chided herself for even thinking that. She had put Lian behind her, and she wasn't about to bring her up again by associating someone's personality to her baby's likeness. No one else will ever be like Lian. No one.
An eyebrow arched up as Gemini went from ninja clothes to questioning Jade's abilities. It was amusing actually, although also probably an indication on how training would be like in the near future. "I'm...somewhat aware of what you can do. But I'd like to learn everything, test you even to see what your limits are. As for my abilities," Jade said as she stood up from the vine-chair. The two women stood before her, Ivy to her left and Gemini to her right. She forced a smile before her arms shot out in different directions, throwing five kunai between and around her new teammates. The throwing stars pinned five small green lizards that were crawling along the walls of the vine-office. The lizards shriveled up from the fast-acting poison laced along the kunai's razor sharp edges. "I don't teleport, I don't fly, and I don't control any elements. I'm just poison to anything that breaths." Jade walked away and to the areas where her kunai were jutting out the walls to collect them and store them back on the strap around her thigh. "Now I'll train you, but I don't want you questioning my methods, showing up late, or wearing ninja clothes," she looked back at Gemini as she yanked the last kunai from the wall. At its tip, the poisoned lizard was still stuck. She picked it off and tossed it on the floor. "You have to earn those," she frowned then immediately smiled again. "If that settles all introductions, I suggest we sit down for a meal. I'm a great cook," Jade said with a spark in her eye.
[End!]
