Players: Blue Beetle, The Huntress. Location(s): Gotham. Plot Summary: Blue Beetle takes on a small investigation on his own only to end up in Gotham. There, he runs into a pretty sharp companion. In turn, they end up working together to figure out this odd circumstance in relation to several gangs wanting to initiate a war. The game is afoot!
"Okay, he's gotta be somewhere..." Jaime whispered to himself within the Beetle suit. The Blue Beetle hid in the dark corners of Gotham. He was lead here by an escapee. This said escapee has worked with gangs around Gotham and mid-US. Jaime made sure to do all his research before fully embarking his trip to Gotham. Supposedly, his main gang resided here. It was just a matter of time before finding him and his group. A small attack that happened near his home caused Jaime to take action. He figured he could handle it on his own. It would just be a few people. Maybe a gang or two, but he has stopped large groups of people previously. People without powers or abilities were especially easy for him to handle. He figured he could do it all with a hand behind his back.
With a sonic frequency and a loud distractions, Jaime figured he'd be back before Mom even noticed he left. Sadly, it was becoming a tad difficult for the Scarab to track their target down. &*'% ^%&*( &!**#$ "Being jammed? By what?" ! $)(& $@)% Jaime let out a sigh and placed a hand to his masked head. The Scarab was actually having difficulty finding a humanoid. From what Jaime gathered he didn't really have any powers or any devices that could throw off readings... Especially the Scarab's.. Maybe he missed something?
"Let me get to higher ground..." Jaime looked upwards towards the dark and gloomy sky. It looked like there would be rain coming from the way the clouds loomed over the skyline. Lowering his body and then giving a strong push off the ground, a small clipped sound clicked from his back and out popped two bug-like wings that met with the wind. Quickly, the Blue Beetle was up in the sky. Scanning the area from above, Beetle continued to search for his target. This usually worked for some wireless devices. Getting into higher ground often helped when finding certain signals.
Usually.
"Huh?" There was another reading that caught the young hero's attention. They were moving pretty quick. Hovering slowly, Jaime began to calculate where it was heading. With a solid glide, Beetle made way to this temporary target. Why the Scarab had a lock on them, he wasn't sure, but it was being tracked for a reason.

The pitch black of darkness covered the city of Gotham within its eerie night as the evening drew on. Night drew over it like a black flowing blanket, high above the rooftops stood the purple vigilante as she stared down on below on the city streets. Huntress glared downwards as she waited for news from Oracle for any robberies in progress or people being held for ransom, but strangely everything seemed quiet for a chance. Gotham City was never place of peace and serenity, far from it because chaos and destruction reigned supreme here.
However soon her eye piece activated and the voice of Oracle appeared. She gave Helena a crucial piece of information which was pretty new for a change, wasting little time she ran forwards and jumped down off the roof top. There she quickly fired a grappling hook and swung up upwards to land on another roof top, soon she ran and did the same again but jumped over several roof tops, as she moved onwards Helena began to assess the situation in her young mind.
Gang violence was one of the most horrible things a city could have. And now a possible gang war was brewing in Gotham and without Batman no where in sight, Huntress had to step in and hunt down some prey. As she ran as fast as she could, she made sure her that her mini cross bows were prepped and primed, and even reloaded the guns just incase.
Landing on top of another rooftop she sighed noticed that the sky was turning black as though the very Heavens themselves were preparing to weep. But just as she was about to press onwards, something caught a glimpse of her eye, looking directly above her there young vigilante noticed something blue heading her way. Taking out her binoculars she zoomed in and saw Blue Beetle heading her way, she instantly put it away and waited for him to arrive.
Folding her arms she couldn’t help but look surprised and spoke in complete confidence and while showing respect to him. "Blue Beetle! Heh what are you doing here?"

Soon enough, there was sight of a fellow costumed hero. The cape was a good giveaway. Beetle let himself hover as he caught the reading. "Huntress?" He questioned as the purple meshed with the white and the uniquely placed tummy hole and mask that covered the dark haired woman's face. Staring, Jaime let himself get closer and watched the woman cross her own arms and gave a look of slight surprise.
He gave her a brief wave and let himself land to the roof near by to her. "H-hey there!" Beetle greeted with a nod of acknowledgment. At times he sort of had a crush on her, but that was years ago. Okay, 2 years ago, but he was over it. Totally and completely over it.
"Uh, I've been tracking down this dude- he, uh, works with this gang in Gotham, supposedly??" Jaime was at a loss for words as to just how to explain his situation. "For some reason I lost his energy signature when I got to Gotham. And it's just for him. It didn't jam for you or anyone else I have met before..." Jaime raised a hand to rub his head in confusion.
"I'm just trying to figure out how to find him without the Scarab.." It took a moment, but Jaiem figured he was rambling a tad too long and looked back to Huntress, lowering his arm and let his shoulder shrug before mimicking her own arms in a crossed formation. "So, what are you doing here? Doing a regular patrol or something?"

Helena was surprised to see Blue Beetle as he approached her in style. An insect can be quite small and is easily dealt with by various means, but Jaime has proved time and time again that a beetle should not be underestimated. Deep down Jaime was a teenager but he deserved to be called a hero, with a tiny smirk she waited for the blue beetle's arrival. It didn’t take her long as he called out to greet her and landed on the roof without any problems whatsoever.
It was hard to imagine that a teenage boy had so much potential and his abilities made him extraordinary. Still she wondered why he was in Gotham, quietly she listened to his explanation. Not even the Blue Beetle couldn’t track the gangs for some odd reason, still she listened onwards and she couldn’t help but smile as he apparently hasn’t changed one bit.
Seeing that the reason behind the potential gang war was even more dangerous then she realised, Huntress instantly responded with a nod. "Actually I am after the same thing as you are Blue Beetle, Oracle gave me a fix on a potential location in Gotham. Still its strange that the Scarab couldn’t track the energy signature, how about we team up? But we better be careful"
With Blue Beetle by her side and if they solved the riddle of the gangs then Gotham would be a better place. Lives would be saved and even the gangs themselves would either be arrested or stopped, either way she was looking forward to cracking some skulls. Calmly she looked towards her potential partner in crime to see what he thought of a Blue Beetle/Huntress team up.

"Oh? Really?" Jaime questioned with an excited smile. Sure, Huntress was a feisty one, but he enjoyed working with her when he did. It wasn't all too often he was in Gotham, let alone meeting it's local heroes, but he could get used to it if he needed to. "Well, alright! Cool! I mean, cool that we're going after the same guy, not, well, yeah you know what I mean.." God, he was acting like a nervous kid with a crush. In a way, he still had one for the vicious Huntress.
Nodding firmly, Jaime put on his superhero attitude and crossed his arms. "Of course! I can be careful. Don't worry. I got your back!" He continued to nod and gave a goofy grin. With some help this whole thing would be done so much quicker.
Personally, he just wanted to sit home and browse on the internet, but duty called for him to come out of his little man cave and do his job. "So, uh, where did you tack him from?" Jaime asked, curious and all. "I only just read about this guy and his gang earlier today.. How long have you been after him?" The Beetle's arms uncrossed and he let them fall to his sides while his ears remained peeled to listen to whatever the Huntress would have to say.
This team up would prove to be a lot of fun. At least that is what Jaime was anticipating.
