Plot Summary: Flash and Cyclone team up in the search of a common lost friend
Maxine always loved the Twin Cities for a lot of reasons, but the main was the speedsters. They were her favorite heroes, alongside the other members of the JSA. The speedsters were always capable of doing a lot of things at the same time and that nothing could stop them and they were always very friendly. It was amazing and an honor working alongside Jay and Jesse who were very nice with her and patient when she had her motor-mouth moments.
So when her grandmother asked her to come to visit Jay and Joan in Keystone City, Maxine exploded in happiness during all the travel to Keystone City. "Oh my gosh Grams, thanks again for letting me come to Keystone City. Do you think that we will have time to travel to Central City too? Cause it would be totally amazing and funny and maybe we could meet Flash too. I mean the Flash of the Justice League, which would be super awesome too. Or maybe we could see him in Keystone too? Did you met him before? Is he so cool as he appear on TV?"asked Maxine excited to her grandmother in the taxi. "Yes, once in Thanksgivings, he was really nice. But now we should see Jay and Joan and give them this pies. Maybe if we have time we can do a little of tourism, but first the friends"replied Ma Hunkel with a grin. The taxi stopped in front of the house of the older member of the JSA.
Both Ma and Maxine left the taxi and paid the driver. Then they walked towards the door and Ma pushed the bell ring. A few seconds later the door was open by Joan. "Oh, hello Ma. Maxine, good to see you again"said Joan with a worried expression in her face.
"Hello Ms. Garrick, how are you?. We came to make a visit we even brought a pie with us!"said excited the freckled girl. "Is something wrong Joan?"asked Ma to her friend. Joan didn't answered at first. "Please come in, I'll tell you inside"replied Joan. Maxine started to get worried like her grandmother. She hoped that nothing bad happened to the old couple. The three women entered in the living room and took seats in the sofa. "Did you saw Jay in New York yesterday?"asked Joan.
"No, we came here to make a visit to both of you. Did something happened to Mr. Garrick?"asked Maxine worried. "I... don't know. Last time I saw him was yesterday. The phone rang and he answered it. A few minutes later he left home without saying anything and with a serious expression. When I tried to ask him what happened he didn't reply, he... simply run. At first I thought it could be a problem of the Justice Society, but I started to have the sensation that Jay can be in trouble. I was about to call Alan when you two came"explained Joan who was shaking nervous.
Ma grabbed her hand. "Don't worry Joan. I'm sure that Jay is alright, he can take care of himself. But we are going to call Alan"said the older woman. "I'll start searching"said Maxine suddenly as she got up. Mr. Garrick was always there to help her and the other new members of the JSA when they needed help, now it was her turn to help Jay. He had to be okay. "No Maxine wait!"said her grandmother."Keystone City is too big and maybe Jay is not in the city. Wait till the others arrive please"
"Don't worry I can take care of myself too and don't worry Ms. Garrick, he'll be okay" said Maxine as she started to fly outside an open window. "Maxine Hunkel!!!! Come back immediately!!!!yelled Ma, but it was late, her granddaughter was already far to hear her. "Ugh... she is stubborn like me when she wants. I'll call Alan, you call Flash. He'll be able to help us to find Jay quickly"said Ma to Joan. She nodded.
