On December 31 the team was informed by Batman that Red Arrow is a clone. Which the clone was placed there to betray the Justice League to Vandal Savage. During that day and night the young justice team was fighting the justice league. They had split up so one team goes try to find Red Arrow and the other go to the justice league tower.
At midnight the team realized it was New Years. Artemis was in the arms of Kid Flash kissing, Ms. Martian had her arms around Superboy, Zatanna had turned to Robing and kissed him which he ended up wrapping his arms around her even Rocket said to hell with it and kissed Aqualad. That night came to an end and the team headed home. Some went back to their families while the others went back to the cave. As night passed day came and Superman had finally had a heart to heart with Superboy and accepted him.
This new year becomes a big deal for the young team. They are all getting a year older, stronger and getting new members. Even the Justice League asked the original team if they wanted to join the League up in the watch tower. They all declined wanting to stay down there a little more longer. They are know all training the new members and still having Red Tornado and Black Canary helping them out.
It seems though that the team is still hiding things. Robin is having a hard time with Batman (with whatever reason), Kid Flash wants to stop the superhero thing because he does not to see Artemis get hurt. Knowing this wouldn’t make her happy he sticks around like always. Aqualad is having his own hard time not being around his home and the fact that he lost his love and being leader is starting to become harder for him. As he began to wonder who he really is. Zatanna herself is still can’t let it down that Dr. Fate is her father. She is doing whatever she can to learn every magic she is able. Even going far to try to learn the dark stuff. Artemis was dealing with her family issues. Being that her father escaped from jail and was looking for his wife her mother. Artemis has to make sure she is safe which thanks to Batman they got her into a new apartment safe. She is worried now that her father would try to attack her and her new family. M’gann was alright, the team had accepted her the way she really looked. Conner was learning from Superman, a lot of his anger was actually put out. Rocket was just part of the team. Trying to help as much as she could.
Most of all the villains are trying to work together to defeat the Young Justice team. That is their main goal since now that the Young Justice is considered the world's new heroes. They are planning to destroy them and of course taking over the world. By doing this they are going try to make the team go against each other. They will try to take the down one by one having them break up into small teams while the villains take them down that way. Most of the villains are the common ones but new ones are popping up as well as ones that the League had not seen or thought died.
