[Guardians of the Universe]

R O L E P L A Y R U L E S[/b][/size]

• After registering an account, you have 1 (one) week to post an application. After that, if no application has been posted, your account will be deleted. If a staff member requests that changes be made to your application, you have 3 (three) days to make those changes before your application is deleted.
  
  
• You may have a maximum of 4 (four) characters. (per IP address - if you have a sibling/roommate at this site, you both are limited to four characters between the two of you). Each character requires a separate account. In order to app for a new character you must first get 20 posts with your current; 1st character will need 20 posts to app 2nd character, 2nd will need 20 posts for 3rd, and so on. Eventually this number may increase as the site grows.
  
  
• OC (Original Characters) are allowed, but only as civilians. You may not create your own super-powered hero or villain, nor someone who will become a superhero/villain. There are hundreds of available characters in the DC universe, and since this is a DC RPG, it doesn't make sense to neglect those characters for made up ones.
  
  
• Every RP post must be a minimum of five sentences (a solid paragraph). We understand that some days you don't have the time or creativity to fill an entire paragraph and that's okay but if it's a persistent problem, you're risking losing your character.
  
  
• You must get a signature and avatar. All signatures will be linked to your character's application. If you need either one of these, request a set here. Maximum size for a signature is 450 x 150.
  
  
• No god-modding! This means in your post, you will not act for someone else's character or control their actions. The mention of unimportant/minuscule action is fine, but anything else is prohibited.*
  
  
• Activity* [based on RP posts only] At the end of each month the Staff will conduct an evaluation of your posting; you will need at least 10 (ten) posts a month to be deemed active.
  
  If you lose your character due to a lack of activity, you have 7 days to complete a new application. If a new application is not completed within that time, the account will be deleted. (a repost of your first application is acceptable)
  
  If you have announced your absence, you're excused. The Absence board is the only official place to announce you'll be gone.

* You'll get a warning but if it becomes a consistent problem, you'll lose your character.

* You will not get a warning if you are falling inactive or if [at your rate] you will not reach the minimum by the next activity check. It is your responsibility to be familiar with our activity rule and keep track of yourself.

• This board is rated PG-13 both In-character and Out of Character. Keep profanity to a minimum
  
  
• Any links publicly shared should follow that PG-13 rating.
  
  
• Don't be a jerk. We're all here to have fun, so don't ruin anyone's fun.
  
  
• If you have any issues with someone do not let it spill into the cbox. PM one another to settle your issues, or PM an Admin if you have a complaint.
  
  
• Do not spam. In PMs, in the cbox, or on the board. Don't Spam!
  
  
• Be civil. We're human, we'll have disagreements but that doesn't mean any one needs to be rude. Be kind to all members, staff, and guests.
  
  
• Hotlinking is a no-no. Hotlinking is the practice of posting an image linked to the original site where you found it. Hotlinking is illegal because it draws valuable bandwidth from the site its from. Image hosting sites were developed for the purpose of preventing this. Furthermore, it is against Proboards Terms of Service (TOS). Members of SaS are required to use an image hosting site to host images. Great hosting sites include Imageshack, Photobucket and Tinypic.
