Players: Superman and Huntress Location(s): Gotham places Plot Summary: Huntress has her hands full and a visiting Superman comes to lend a super-hand
The night was unlike any other. Tonight was still, quiet as a church mouse skipping underneath heavily wore pews as it clenched the last tiniest bit of bread between it's teeth scurrying for cover in a full house. The night was also a bit frigid, unexpected at this time; but summer was finally leaving the dark city and the air certainly made that clear. But no, it was not either of these facts that made tonight in Gotham so unlike any other; it was the mere fact that a man in blue colored tights and a red flag-like cape paid visit to the Dark Knight's beloved city. Superman was a close friend of the Batman of old, and also the current Batman to be fair, but his visits to Gotham were very few. Gotham was a beat of another dressing and life than Metropolis. While Metropolis was vibrant and pumped life right into the the Kryptonian veins of steel, Superman felt very sternly that Gotham sapped the life right from him. It was not his favorite place to visit. Hope seemed to rise in Gotham not as often as the Man of Steel would have liked, but it was fear and despair that rose the most. However Superman did not pay much attention to that tonight; as hard as it was with the quiet wind reminding him of the silent cries that went unnoticed so entirely too often in that city. Not even Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Batwoman, and the others could save everyone. Depressing. But speaking of those Bat-folk, the close family of the close friend Kal-El had in that city, he now saw a distant relative. Supersight was unneeded at the moment, as Superman flew over the hark buildings of Gotham's most downtrodden areas there was a mecha destroying infrastructure. A grimace etched onto the facial muscles of the Kryptonian, there doing battle with the man in 15 foot robotic armor was the two time Justice League member Huntress. Superman immediately swept in to lend a hand. He was only here to ask Dick about a few things he'd requested the former Robin-slash-Nightwing to look into, but now he had an actual duty to perform.

The pitch black of darkness covered the distant lands within its eerie night as the evening drew on. As the very heavens was blanketed by the night sky down below on solid ground the inhabitants of a nearby city refused to rest and sleep, its tall buildings light up like giants who were holding lit torches. The lights of the buildings light up the area down below, two dots shone brightly and moved in many directions like fireflies that would journey across the veil of darkness.
However they were not fireflies by cars that took people to whatever destination they wanted to go, the light of the cars pierced the blackness of the night like a knife cutting threw some fresh bread. A set of oblong shaped traffic lights safely guided these vehicles to their indicated path; cars of different shapes and sizes drove on to fulfil their mission.
Gotham City was perhaps one of the most dangerous places to live. Even at night the darkness seems to awaken and reveal the true depths of its horrors, from criminals to robbery and worse. Luckily one man who was said to be like a demon protected this city. This was the Dark Knight Batman, a member of the Justice League, a group of the world’s most famous heroes, which were completely devoted to protecting the innocence and safeguarding the Earth from invasions and villains.
the purple clad vigilante gritted her teeth in anger as the giant mechanized form towered over her as if she was but a mere flea. The guy piloting the robot had become desperate after she easily dispatched her thugs who where now simply groaning in pain, armed with her trusty mini crossbows she showed no fear and couldn’t help but stare down the biggest challenge and her biggest threat to her life. However if she had to somehow to divert the big guy away from Gotham and outside the city then maybe she would have a chance to stop it from hurting the innocent people, slowly a giant clenched and headed towards her but Helena used her grappling hook and fired it away from her position.
She landed on a nearby roof top and prepared to conjure up a plan. But the giant mech turned itself around. Without wasting time she hooked on a snipe scope to her mini crossbows and pointed it towards the place where the guy was piloting it, slowly it marched towards Huntress as she prepared her counter attack. With all her heart she preyed that Oracle had sent out a call for help, but all Helena could do was stand her ground and help protect her home from this mechanised menace.

The Man of Steel had a great bit of experience when it came to oversized mechanical warsuits. Whenever a foe of his could not hope to defeat Superman on his own or could not get their hands on a shiny green rock, mobilized suits of armor were almost always the next go to; namely for villains named Lex Luthor. However this was no bald billionaire causing trouble in Gotham City threatening to smash the woman in purple down into the dirt. This was...actually Superman had no clue who it was, but he didn't see why that should prevent him from helping out someone who was in obvious need. "I don't think so!" The Metropolis protector swooped in quickly as the large metallic fist flew toward Huntress.
The blow was intercepted, it rocked Superman just marginally; he had almost felt that. A frown was etched onto Superman's features as with one hand he began to push the steel arm back, working against the intricate mechanisms that tried preventing his movements. Not to be outmatched Superman easily tossed the machine backward. The mecha slid over the concrete, sparks dancing around its metal feet as it dug in and held its ground. "What's the story with this guy?" Superman tossed the question Huntress's direction as his brow sloped into a frown, his eyes glowing deep crimson as strong beams of heat blasted forth from them. To Superman's astonishment his heat vision merely bounced off of the plated armor and harmlessly dissipated in the Gotham night.
"Huh. New plan." In an instant Superman took to the skies, his speed impressive enough to avoid the two large arms that quickly reached out to snag him. Superman flew high into the air over the man's head, attracting his attention in order to give Huntress any type of opening she could use to her advantage. "Dunno what you're doin' in Gotham, Supes, but I really don't care either! Nobody's takin' me down!" With a sinister grin splayed across his face, the man in armor lifted his machine arms and his metal hands flipped backward; revealing a cache of missiles. "Catch!"
As he shouted the single word, the darkness of Gotham suddenly became as bright as day. Five missiles from each wrist ignited and launched toward Superman. Superman had taken such blasts before so he knew he could survive whatever it was this madman had to offer, but unfortunately the surrounding area and people of Gotham weren't quite as durable. Begrudgingly Superman needed to take himself away from the battlefield for just a moment. He made a brief glance at Huntress, an unspoken promise that he wouldn't be gone for long, and tore off into the clouds; ten deadly missiles following close on his tail.

Even the might and strength of the giant mech couldn’t sway Huntress as she stood tall and focused. She had to admit it was a tall order for her to defeat the robot and its pilot, but a large shadow loomed over Helena as a giant fist headed towards her with an attempt to crush her. But she soon smiled in sure relief as a familiar red caped hero arrived in the form of Superman and boy was he a welcome site!
Now the odds were against the evil maniac, and in typical fashion he pushed the robot over without any trouble thanks to Superman's incredible strength. But it was not over, as Superman asked her about the robot Huntress stayed focused but relaxed a little as she replied. "Its a long story" it indeed was good to see the hero of Metropolis but it was also a long time since she last saw Kal-El.
The last time she saw him, it was when a robot attacked Metropolis, the Birds quickly stopped it. But it was too late to stop it from exploding, Supes was not happy with the result and had told Oracle that he was going to keep an eye on the Birds. Getting the Kryptonian hero angry was the biggest mistake any one could make in human history. Soon she watched the giant mech as it launched a barrage of missiles, as the Man of Steel looked downwards Huntress nodded in respect and watched him disappear towards the sky.
However now was as good time as any to attack the mecha while its pilot was distracted. Quickly she dived her hand into her utility belt and pulled out a smoke pellet, carefully she attached it to her arrow and quickly fired it towards the head area of the robot to try and temporarily blind the vision.

Superman watched behind him as he flew higher and higher into the air, the missiles following closely behind him. This seemed to be a situation Superman found himself in almost every other day. By now he was as accustomed to handling missiles as he was to tying his shoes; it was just another part of his life's daily routine. Honestly he would like a little change up every now and then though. As he went higher Superman rolled around in midair so that his body now faced the missiles that rocketed toward him. He was far enough away from the city now that the explosions he was about to set off wouldn't cause any collateral damage.
Superman narrowed his eyes and lifted one hand out in front of him. The first rocket slammed into his palm and stopped in its tracks. Superman angled the missile upward and drove his other fist into its underbelly. Sifting through the wires and mechanical guts of the rocket Superman ripped out the warhead before releasing the missile carcass. Making a tight fist Superman let the warhead detonate in his closed hand. He drifted backward quickly out of the smoke as the other missiles closed in. Blue eyes glowed deep crimson just before Superman shot quick bursts of intense heat vision at each missile that'd been shot at him. Two missiles were cut clean in half, exploding just as they passed Superman, while the others blew up one after another engulfing Superman in fiery explosions from all around.
With Superman momentarily out of the fight the man in the mecha returned his sights to the woman in purple. She was a quick and pretty tough to stand her ground against him but she was also little and brittle; the man figured it was only a matter of time before he squashed her like a bug. His large robotic body moved swiftly as he tried closing the gap between himself and the Huntress. As a large mechanical fist was raised the woman managed to get off her bolt right into the visor of the mecha suit. Smoke erupted over the screen and some even managed to seep into the man's suit. Choking and blinded all because of the smoke the man in the mobile robotics suit stumbled and thrashed about madly.
