Players: Mia Dearden and Connor Hawke Location(s): Downtown Star City and the Queen mansion Plot Summary: Mia's anger is showing in how she takes down criminals, as well as her whole change in attitude. Connor notices and confronts her in an attempt to understand what is going on.
There was simply the sound of bone being broken, followed by the shriek of the man whose collarbone had been shattered by a well-placed arrow. Speedy easily reached the ground and covered the man’s mouth with her glove. He tried to bite down, so she just gave him a quick and painful kick to the knee, dislodging the floating piece of bone that was the knee cap. “Shut up, scumbag.” The black hood was pulled up over her head. The dark golden lining was barely visible. Her eyes may have been covered by a mask, but her expression was not. She was angry, very angry. There was no telling what she would do to him if he did not give her the information she was after. Honestly, she did not really care about the man who she had trapped in the corner of the alleyway. She was just after some information. “Look, just give me the information and you can crawl on back to your slimy little hole.” She growled at the man who was cowering beneath her. He looked so pathetic. There was a tiny whimper that came from the man and it made her roll her eyes. Did he really think she would let him go because of THAT? “I don’t know anything else! I swear!” The man looked frightened. It was like looking at a really ugly bunny that was about to be shot, at least, that is what Mia thought. She did not buy it for a minute though. He knew more than he had told her. A kick to the ribcage that cracked a rib or two resulted in coughing and sputtering on the man’s part. With no more information coming from the man, Speedy decided to make an example of him. She smirked a bit as she took out an arrow from her quiver and dragged the man to the center of the alley. The man begged for his life, and Mia just rolled her eyes. She’d killed before, and she had not enjoyed it. “Oh stop your sniveling. I’m not gonna kill you. There is no point in it. After all, dead men tell no tales.” The confused look on the man’s face made her smirk a bit bigger. She had constructed these arrows solely for this purpose. She stood behind the man, wrapping a strong cable around his arms and legs, tying each wrist to the opposite elbow and each calf was tightly tied behind its respective thigh. She pushed the man firmly up against the wall and shot two arrows at him. The arrows dug into the man’s jacket, right above his shoulders, pinning him to the wall. Mia smirked and turned on her heel to leave the man hanging on the wall. She had more morons who thought that crime paid to go take down. She aimed a grappling arrow for the roof of the building and held on tightly as she was pulled up to the roof. She pulled herself onto the rooftop, dislodging that arrow from its hold and then ran across rooftops of Star City to head back to her bike. She had strung up around ten criminals that night and taken down a lot more. It was time to head home. Hopefully, she could avoid Connor once again.

Being a vigilante wasn't always about fighting the bad guys and stopping robberies. It was about helping people who needed it. It was about giving people a chance they normally had. It was about giving others resources they couldn't normally get their hands on. Not all of Star City had been wrecked by the bombs that had rocked the city. As always it seemed as if the poor had gotten the worst of it. The city's budget simply wasn't enough to handle the sheer chaos and destruction. The mayor was doing the best he could but he couldn't cover all his bases. It was impossible. This was why Queen Industries had liquidated the majority of their stocks and funds in order to help the city recover. The money had done some significant good but it took a while to trickle down.
Connor held a bag of diapers and dried goods in one arm and an envelope in another. The Garcias family needed supplies for their children and basic cleansing materials for their child. The family across the apartment complex needed money to pay for the rent and get groceries to last them through the month. Connor was going to help both families tonight. First he stopped by the Garcias door and set down the bag before ringing the doorbell multiple times. Then he made his way across the apartment complex and slipped the mail filled with a sizeable check inside their mail slot before leaving the apartment complex.
As Connor made his way back to Downtown Star City and Ollie's Mansion he decided it wouldn't hurt to check up on Mia. She had told him that she planned to check in on a snitch for information on drug activity on the East End. Connor hadn't felt like it was a good idea because the snitch rarely talked. Connor himself often had to coax the man into giving him information. As Connor continued to sprint through the city he saw a man screaming for help. Connor glanced down and saw a man strung up against the wall. Connor's eyes widened and he jumped down from the roof and landed on the ground. He was tied to the wall and two arrows had sprouted from his shoulders. Connor frowned as he approached the man and quickly took him down. Was this Mia's doing?
"That psycho b!tch trussed me up here t-" Connor handcuffed the man to a garbage dumpster. "I'm sorry." He said shortly as he turned and fired a grapple gun into the air and returned to the air. "Hey! I'mt talkin' to you! I ain't done nothin' wrong! I'm suin' the city if you leave me here....HEY!" Connor quickly took a shortcut through the city in a hurry to find Mia's bike. He had been with her when he had parked it before he had left to handle the groceries. Now was the time to confront and tell her it was time to stop. When Mia arrived at her own bike Connor was leaning against it waiting for her.

Mia jumped over the roof tops of Star City. There was that rush of adrenaline that was pumping through her veins. But that was it. She did not have the rush that came with taking down bad guys anymore. There was no happiness in it for her anymore. It bugged her a lot. She was just angry. She wanted to hurt people, only people who deserved it. She was filled with fury, and it was what was causing her to fly over the bump and mole hills on the tops of buildings in her beloved city. Her beloved city, which was rebuilding itself and still picking up the pieces of the attack. The attack which ruined all that she had loved, her niece, her home, and her family, it had ruined everything.
She growled as she stood atop the building and the memories flooded her brain. She hated it all. There was nothing that she could do now, but keep the people who hurt others from hurting even more people. So, she reminded them of the pain they inflicted on others. It brought a tiny smile to her face to see them in pain, but only for a brief second. She may seem cold, perhaps even callous and cruel, but they deserved it. No one should be as angry and hurt as she was, and she was going to make sure that it did not happen to anyone else as long as she was around.
The blonde was taking down the guys who were not afraid of going to jail. Those were the ones who would just make connections in prison. They would get out of jail and hurt more people. The information that those people would learn in prison, they would bring with them when they got out. They would use it, harm others, and wreak havoc on the people Mia cared for. Mia cared about everyone in Star City who was not harming someone else.
She jumped to the final rooftop and glared as she saw her beloved brother standing by her motorcycle. That bike was her baby, he know that. Damn him, he must have found her newest catches and warnings. She knew she should not have told him she was checking in with that snitch. Damn it all, she was is a big batch of trouble. This was a terrible situation and she had been avoiding for it far too long.
The arrow slinging female glared at her brother. She kneeled and took an arrow from her quiver. She notched the darn thing in her bow and aimed it at her beloved older brother, the Green Arrow. She let her arrow fly only centimeters past his right ear and it landed right between the cracks of the building behind him. She looked down from her perch and glared at as she made her way down to her bike and got right up in Connor’s face. “What?”
(Sorry this took so long.)
