Players: Cyclone and Connor Hawke

Plot Summary: The drug Velocity 9 is back in the streets of Cambridge and its expanding in other cities.
Last week was rough for Maxine Hunkel in college, but not because the classes nor the final exams, they were hard per se but she could handle them. Since last week a lot of thieves started to appear around town and all of them had in common that they had super speed!! A few of the victims ended hurt in the attacks but the rest usually was alright. The witch of the winds was only able to stop two of the thieves as the rest was always able to escape. That frustrated a lot to the young red haired girl. After interrogating the captured criminals, it was easy to make them talk, they told her that they used a drug called Velocity 9, or V9 to get their new powers. Maxine remembered that when Jesse Quick and Damage were both members of the Titans they fought against junkies who used V9. Maxine started to feel guilt and shame. She had been busy dealing with super-hero life and studies that she didnt see this coming. Now there are a lot of super speedsters criminals in her third home and innocent people got hurt. She had to put an end to it. At first she thought in calling Jesse, but the red haired girl dropped the idea thinking that Jesse as a member of the Justice League and the Justice Society would be very busy. And first Maxine should investigate before taking action. Thanks to the captured thieves she was able to discover where they used to buy V9 and the freckled girl started to wrok in a plan. A FEW HOURS LATERIt was already night and a red haired girl walked to an alley in Avon Hill. She was dressed with a green sueter and a black shirt and had her hair tied up in a ponytail. She was then stopped by a tall and muscled guy with a raven tattoo in his left forearm. He was fast enough thats he ddint saw him coming. Maxine was in the right place. "What the hell is a girl like you doing here?"asked rudely the man. "Dont worry for me. Im a good friend of Jimmy. He told me that here I could find quick emotions"replied the red haired girl. Maxine heard that Jimmy was a drug-pusher that usually frequents the parties of fraternities, so maybe she could infiltrate as one of his "clients". "So, would you be kind enough to let me go, or do you want me to call Jimmy? I think he would be mad if he lost a good sale or one of his famous clients"replied Maxine looking at him fiercely back. After a few seconds he hesitated and let her go. "Thanks. You wont regret it handsome"said Maxine as she patted his shoulder and entered the alley with him who opened her a door. It was best to size up the terrain before entering and figthing. She was nervous, she never did infiltration before, but she was studying theathre so in some way this was her terrain and she had a small advantage. She was only one against a lot of people with speed powers after all, and she didnt know who was the boss, but her money was on Vandal Savage who was the last one selling V9. |

Connor rarely left Star City or San Francisco these days. Much less California. Yet during the past few months he had come to learn that several gangs had been bestowed with abilities that they shouldn't have had. Super speed was one of those powers that you had to be creative to utilize. The Flash had the power since he had been a child and as a result knew how to use it with grace and finesse. The gangsters didn't. All they knew how to do was cause damage and destruction. It had caused Connor quite a bit of trouble to take down the gangsters and figure out how they were getting access to their drugs. When he had come across the drug pusher he had realized that this problem wasn't just in San Francisco. Someone was mass manufacturing the drug and selling it to young people all over the country to use it as both a recreational substance and as a weapon. After Connor had tracked down the main distributor to Massachusetts he had decided to do something about it.
The Justice League was a little too busy to be dealing with the drug trade. Connor had a feeling that if he let the problem progress than it would eventually be the Justice League's problem. He didn't want that. He was supposed to defend the little man so the Justice League wouldn't have to. Massachusetts was simply outside the Titan's district. Connor didn't trust the Outsiders to handle this situation with sensitivity either. So when it came down to it he was the one who would be responsible for handling the situation.
Connor had tracked the drug pushing down to a man by the name of Jimmy. He was supposedly the one who knew the "main man" in charge of dealing the drugs. Once he caught up with Jimmy he'd hopefully get a name. If they took down the manufacturer then they took down the product. Velocity 9 didn't strike him as the type of drug that was in high demand unless someone specific was responsible for making it. It was a power that granted you super speed and that wasn't an ability that many fantasized about.
It didn't take Connor too long to track down Jimmy. He was at some type of frat party in Cambridge. He wasn't entirely sure how he was supposed to approach the man at first. Undercover simply wasn't his style and he feared that if he broke up the party Jimmy would flee. So he had decided to mix the options together. Connor stood in the midst of the party wearing a grey sweatshirt over the top half. His green pants and brown boots were odd to look at but nobody was the wiser. They all seemed to assume that he was just an outsider. They were right about that and as a result Connor was able to pass through the party unnoticed as he kept a lookout for Jimmy. |

In The Party
Jimmy was a man of 23 years, he had brown and short hair and he was dressed with a light green stripped shirt and blue jeans. He was currently talking with a blond girl who was wearing a small top and a small skirt, a very small skirt. "Babe, I just got some new stuff that I'm sure that you would love. And you don't have to worry about the money. There are other ways you can pay me"said Jimmy with a big grin. "Oh Jimmy you are incorrigible"said the blond with a giggle. "I'll go for another drink and later we'll talk about the payment"said with another giggle as she left the pusher.
Then Jimmy turn back and saw the guy that has been watching him for a while and walked towards him. He was blond and dark skinned. "Look pal, it's clearly that you are new here, so I'll be nice and give you an advice: if you want to talk with me about business do it or leave and maybe we can arrange a good price, but don't stare me like that, it's creepy and it cuts all the scene"said Jimmy clearly to the unknown guy. He had seen other people like him that were too shy to talk to him so he always took the first step with that people. "So what if I help you quickly please? I have pending business, and the faster we do this the merrier for all. Everybody wins"said Jimmy with a grin. "What's your name and what can I do for you, pal?"asked Jimmy to the blond guy.
In Avon Hill
"What's your name and what can we do for you?"asked the bald man as they passed through the door. "I'm Tess"replied Maxine to the bald man with confidence. If she was going to do undercover work she would use a fake name and she couldn't recall why she picked that name. "Right Tess...last name?"asked bluntly the man.
Last name...damn!! She didn't thought about a last name. Maxine believed that they would only ask for a first name. She thought quickly and said the first name that came from her head. "Ocean. Tess Ocean"her eyes open wide as she realized where that name came from: last night she saw Ocean's Twelve last night, and she totally loved how Julia Roberts played that role. "She is a cool actress...No!!! Don't think in Julia Roberts now!! You have used an obvious fake name and could end in trouble"thought Maxine a little panicked and tried to stay calm.
The bald man simply shrugged and didn't look at her. Another man arrived with black messy hair and started to frisk Maxine. "Who is that?"asked to the bald man. "One of Jimmy's customers. Tess Ocean. She just want to pick the good stuff"replied the bald man. "And...I have the cash"answered Maxine quickly. "Well Tess Ocean... you are clean. Come in make yourself comfortable. Here only come the privileged that want only the good merchandise"replied the messed haired man and he let her go. She saw how the bald man left and Maxine walked to a hall with a lot of sofas. Maxine breathed relieved thinking that she was able to pass with a big fake name like that. In the sofas she saw six persons: four male and two girls. Maxine a little nervous sat down in the nearest coach. "Now the hard part"thought Maxine.
