Players: Booster Gold and Batman Location(s): Downtown Gotham City Plot Summary: A mysterious cult from the future attempts to kidnap a little girl and take her with them to their own time period.
“What happened?” Dick stood in the room of the little girl who had been kidnapped. This was a common occurrence within Gotham City. Children went missing and were never seen again. It was an overwhelming problem in Gotham City to the point where half the cases of kidnappings weren’t even investigated. James Gordon did the best he could but he was a busy man. Dick wished he could speak to him now but Harvey Bullock was the only man here at the moment. He was no James Gordon but the Commissioner trusted him. It was for reasons Dick would never understand but he had little options right now. “A little girl got kidnapped. She made a ruckus and her dad heard. He came in with a shotgun and blasted a hole through the wall. What he didn’t know was that they’d shoot back.” Harvey gestured at burns in the hallway.
Dick frowned and walked out of the girl’s room and through the hallway. He surveyed the burns on the wall and quickly surmised that whomever shot back hadn’t used bullets. Dick’s fingers grazed the burn marks on the wall. “What do his injuries look like?” He questioned. Harvey pulled out a cigar and lit up. “One shot in the shoulder. It wasn’t anything like a bullet. Almost looks like he got singed by a poker or something.” Dick nodded. That made sense. They were dealing with an energy based weapon. “You wanna hear the weird part?” Dick stepped back inside the little girl’s room and inhaled. It smelled like sulfur. “Did they escape through some sort of portal?” He glanced at the window. No signs of breaking or entering. Harvey frowned. “Yeah. Ain’t that weird?”
“I need five minutes in the room alone.” Dick said as he walked towards the window. He frowned and noted that there were a peculiar set of smudges on the window sill. He glanced at the ground and noticed blood too. Harvey sighed and made a fuss about being asked to leave but did so all the same. Dick surveyed the ground and after gathering a sample of blood made a call to Oracle. Five minutes later he was standing on the roof; his suspicions concerned. “Absolutely no trace?” He questioned. “I’ve only managed to find two people who have similar blood samples to this person and they’re both children.” Dick nodded. “Can you patch Booster through for me and ask him to meet me here? It looks like we’ve got a situation that would be in his area of expertise.”

Morning began the same as it usually does. Like a anchorman. Bright and early with a fully stylish outfit. With that amazing powerful voice. A voice that all love to listen to. And a person people hope to see in the morning. Unfortunately that person isn't Booster Gold. Though he can still feel awesome like that every morning. Like he always says, "Tomorrow is the defining moment of the century and I'm gonna be part of it." Booster never sleeps in, for he will regret it as soon as he finds out some other hero saved the day.
Flying threw the sky's, Booster keeps a eye out for any trouble below. He used his Goggles to see threw the buildings so he may have a better view of the people. They all looked like tiny skeletons from the height he flew at. By the time anything interesting happened it was hardly light out. Booster stopped as he got a call from Oracle. She patched Booster into Batmans calmling. Of course after letting him know who he's speaking with. "Yo yo yiggity yo you got Booster on the phone." He wanted to use that saying since he saw juno the movie. And what better to try it on batman. He'd hoped for a good reaction. note: sorry its so short. but finally I posted. XD lol

Dick tried not to make it a habit to spy on children. They were seemingly the only innocent demographic in Gotham City and even saying that was a stretch. Yet the blood sample he had taken made him seriously think about what he was dealing with. Dick wasn’t a natural detective like Tim. He had to strive to master the art and he hadn’t mastered it like Tim or Bruce had. Yet he was a skilled detective all the same. One of the more important aspects of detective work was to follow up on all the leads. No matter how bizarre it seemed. You had to be willing to accept the impossible and be willing to understand that not everyone follows the same rules of logic that you do. You wouldn’t have to think outside the box if you didn’t believe there was a box. All of these were things that Dick had come to understand and learn.
So when it had become clear that Booster would take his time to get here Dick had moved to the other side of the city. The blood work he had pulled up was of Mark Abbot. Mark was an eight year old who lived with his mother in The Narrows. There wasn’t anything particularly special about him. This led him to believe that the kidnapper had either spread this blood as a false trail. That or he was from the future. Dick had pulled up information on Mark Abbot and Judy Bates (the girl who was kidnapped) went to the same elementary school. As far as Dick was concerned that was evidence enough to confirm his latter theory. He just needed a why, when and a where. As he watched the kid through the window the comm. unit in his hear beeped. Dick found himself speaking to Booster.
“Can you meet me at 1400 street on The Narrows?” He questioned shortly as he stood to his feet and strode across the ledge he had been crouched on. He jumped off of the end and began to glide through the air towards the location. “I’ve come across a case that demands your expertise.”
