Players: Gemini and Jade Location(s): Metropolis at Large Plot Summary: Mr. Mxyztplk is up to no good once again and two bystanders are caught in his mystical wake.
I'm going to crush you! It was very understandable that the Amazonian Princess was frustrated. She had been locked in this combat for what seemed like hours, but was actually spanning about 3 minutes. Fighting a Reality Manipulator was tricky business. The Imp however... oh he was just having a grand old time making the princess look foolish. As his big blue plaything was busy out in space somewhere, dealing with some crisis, he needed something to do while he was in the mortal plane. Who to bother, who to... bother. A Bat, A Rat, A Cat or a Princess. Rhyming scheme aside, it would be the most fun to see the Royal Warrior get just.. oh so worked up only to have it all wind up meaning nothing. It started out rather dull actually... she couldn't be baited into the fight. No amount of teasing, or shoving or hair pulling.. he was about to leave her be when suddenly.. out of nowhere he had a fun little idea. He gave her an All Tomato, meaning that she would give him the whole tomato or else. She refused.. and so he was forced to use ELSE! His Else was actually pretty funny, the longer she ignored him the more she'd turn into a duck! He was going to turn her into a Pig but.. it had been done before and he wasn't the type for repeat performances. Once she grew a duck bill... well she was very ready for the fun and so much fun was had! She flew and she shouted and she swatted and he would just laugh and avoid and make fun of her growing plumage, which to be fair was coming in oh so nicely. Eventually however she did catch him. By the hairs on his head, she had crushed his hat and assumed she had him locked up tight. *Pop* He broke free of her grasp and threw confetti at her! Though Diana was smart... oh she knew for sure that it wasn't just confetti. She put her hands up, hoping to use her bracers to deflect whatever it was had been coming her way. Like some silly little trinkets were going to stop the fun from happening! He just laughed as the confetti wrapped around her bracers and made them explode off of her wrists. She recoiled mid air and tried to fly after her rapidly escaping bracers when.. QUACK! She fell towards the earth, a collection of anger and rapid unintelligible quacking, Mr. Mxyztplk laughing alllll the way down. But she's not actually the hero of our story. We now pan the camera towards the Bracers, flying away from Wonder Duck at the speed of silver! They flew towards the rest of the town, people far too focused on the howling laughter and the quacking than the silver glints flying away... BUT NOT GEMINI! She had been watching the fight intently and as soon as the bracers were removed, she was moving out! Even if she was uber tired from keeping the world green and she was upset that Jade didn't want to play Ninja on the way back... her feels were completely recharged when this thought came to mind. Her rationalization of the event was that Diana wouldn't allow anyone to put trackers in her most prized possessions and if she had lost track of them and the world was focusing on her... then she could take the bracers and then she'd be invincible! Bounding through Metropolis with the speed of liquid rubber she was trying to think of all the fun she could achieve with invincible wrists. Well she could... uhh, she could deflect bullets! Now she'd have something to offer to Red Hood the next time he came hunting for her. She could show them to Ivy and earn some love from her Plant Mom... and then she could beat Jade in fights! Ooh she could go find Virgil and show him her new Jewelry... wait.. no no, she'd have to keep them from Virgil.. he might know Wonder Woman and then the whole plan would be kaput! The Bracer she had been tracking landed in the middle of Ramsett Park, creating a massive crater. When Gemini was undying, she'd be able to earn enough scratch to have the hole filled in with concrete and turned into a breakdancing square for all the up and coming B-Boys. She slid down the 10 yard deep hole and reached slowly towards the still glowing bracer. Mama needs a brand new pair of Invulnerability. She wrapped her fingers around it and felt a surge of electricity running through her body. She fell down to her knees as the pain rocked through her and for a second she assumed she was blacking out. She closed her eyes, expecting the pain to finally knock her out... but a bright white light wrapped around her field of vision and it didn't subside until she felt... everything wrong. She stumbled backwards and fell on her bum... her amazingly firm bum? The bracer was still in her hands... that was good. W... what h... Where's my immortality! Oi! That didn't sound right. Trying to get back on her feet, she looked down and.. her nose practically started bleeding. Merde! I'm Boobzilla!! Maybe.. she had turned into Wonder Woman? It was a sound theory.. surprisingly sound coming from the crazy girl but.. why couldn't she turn back? Better question.. why did she feel solid? Usually she felt like rubber drawn taught but now she.. bones? She had bones!? Immortality sucked... even if it came with these knockers. She had to go find Jade. She was the smartest person Gem could reach in a matter of minutes so she'd be able to diagnose what was wrong with her and fix it. Finally getting up to her feet and managing to avoid oogling her manflesh some more, she slowly made her way from the crash site. Back onto a bustling street filled with people.. for some reason she felt exposed. Not actually... flashing anyone but she didn't have a disguise to hide behind.. her powers weren't helping her.. they weren't even working.. and people kept staring at her. At first she didn't' exactly mind it but it just kept happening and happening and.. You've never seen a woman before! She turned on her heels and moved away from the scene... she was nowhere near Ramsett Park. Maybe Jade went looking for her over there.. good plan, Gem! Good Plan.

Today had been a yawn. While working for Poison Ivy definitely had its excitement and perks, there were downsides to being so environmentally conscious. Most of Jade's responsibilities involved murder and mayhem, but every once in a while during her employ, her job was merely ruffing up persons of interest. Now Cheshire was all for intimidating senators, lobbyist, the privileged rich, etc., but it wasn't a field she believed her talents were put to good use (though admittedly, she still got a kick out of it). Really the only thing that had been eventful about today was the time spent with Gemini. Despite their initial meeting, Jade had grown a certain fondness for the young lady, and she definitely saw a lot of potential in her. The only part of her Jade didn't like was her impulsive nature, as shown by her abrupt chase after Wonder Woman's bracers without a moment's hesitation.
Cheshire and Gemini had been heading back to New Bludhaven when they happened upon an odd yet interesting event. Wonder Woman was caught in a battle with Mr. Mixy- Mr. Mzy- Mr. Mxy... that weird imp guy. Jade had only ever heard of him and seen his photo years ago during her time with the Injustice League. He was supposed to be a very powerful creature from another dimension, but lucky for the people of this planet, he was sort of an idiot. That explained why he was not actually trying to kill Wonder Woman, but rather just messing with her. No sooner had Jade decided to tell Gemini they should leave before the imp noticed and dragged them into the scuffle too was the young criminal off on a chase to get the Amazon's bracers that went flying through the air. "You're just looking for trouble going after those things," Jade muttered as she followed after Gemini. At the scene, the bracers definitely left their mark on the ground. Gemini was in and out of the pit they had created on impact with bracers in hand. Oddly enough, they were glowing. "Let me see that," Jade said, partly hypnotized by the strange light coming off the silver accessories. She grabbed one of the bracers from Gemini and felt like the wind was punched out of her. Her mouth dropped open and she fell to the ground from the incredible pain that lasted for a few seconds while light enveloped her. After that moment, she felt fine again, but not a normal fine. In fact, she felt a lot more limber and...lighter? She gasped for air as if she had been drowning, only to realize she wasn't dying for air at all. "What the hell..." she said, startling herself. "Wait, what?! What?!" Every new word from her mouth caused more panic. That was most definitely not her voice. She sounded so...so young!
Jade got to her feet only to fall back down. What was happening? Her limps felt like rubber. Try as she might, she couldn't get a solid foot on the ground. "Okay Jade, calm down. Focus. Breathe," she thought to herself. After a few controlled breathes, she managed to get to her feet and stay like that. It was until this moment she realized her arms looked different. And her legs. And her body! She groped her face with her fingertips anxiously evaluating herself when it finally dawned on her. "Son of a bitch," she said in Gemini's voice. Looking around, her new set of eyes scanned the park for the real Gemini, but Jade wasn't even there anymore. The magic from the bracer had sent her a few blocks away. She had to get back to Ramsett Park and find her. Maybe with the other bracer, she can change back. But just what was she going to say when Gemini finally sees Jade as her clone?!
"We'll deal with that later," she thought. "First things first. Walk." Jade stood on the sidewalk leaning forward, arms slightly outward to balance, her feet planted on the ground. "Walk." Nothing. "Walk." Nothing. How the hell did Gemini do this?! Her body was so agile and malleable that Jade felt only the slightest bit of control over this body. Frustration was building in every fiber she could manage. "This can't be happening!" she burst out. A passerby glanced over at her and stopped in his tracks. He was a twenty-something year old, the type that spent too much time in the gym by the looks of him. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked. Jade stared at him. She noticed the look in his eye. Advantage. "I...I'm disabled," she pouted. "What?" he asked. "I...Someone stole my crutches." His eyes widened. "Yeah," she continued with a soft, vulnerable voice. "He was so scary. I told him I didn't have any money to steal, so he took my crutches. Now I can't walk." She attempted to take a step in his direction and instead tipped over. As she hoped, he caught her and when he did, she gave him the smile. He smiled back. Jade was so glad Gemini was cute, otherwise this might not have worked out so quickly. Minutes later, she was being carried into Ramsett Park by her new friend. She pointed toward the craters which he approached carefully. As he looked down into them, she searched desperately in all directions for any sign of Gemini. "Woah. What do you think happened here?" he asked. "Huh? Yeah, whatever. Turn around."

Traversing through Metropolis was 50 shades of weird now. She couldn't run without being smacked in the face by her new assets. She kept wanting to stop and rip off her shirt, just to see.. just to see what the hype was about, though she didn't want to ruin Wonder Woman's public image. She shoved her hands into her pockets and whistled loudly and without tone to try and pass the time, keep her mind off of her predicament. However, when she did get to the park she had one hand under her blouse and the other fumbling around with the waistband. With the destruction and warzone happening elsewhere, no one would notice Wondy in the park going to town on herself. She plopped down on a bench until she saw some large muscle bound goon carrying.. it couldn't be. She whipped her hands from unedrneath her clothes and squinted in disbelief. Gemini!? What are you doing? Are you hurt? She couldn't hide the fear in her familiar sounding voice. If she was draped in the arms of some random.. maybe she had.. she couldn't have. Her body was invincible, there was no way she could've died.
Though thinking about it.. what if her spirit had been ripped from her body? Mixing with the DNA from the bracers and reforming her into Wonder Woman a ways away. Was Wonder Woman's spirit in her lifeless form? She fell to her knees and rested her face in her hands. At what cost did payment become sacrifice? She had ruined her life all for some fever dream. She pulled the bracer off of her wrist and prepared to throw it before she caught her reflection in it's smooth shiny surface.
Jade? Cheshire... You're trapped in the bra-no, Gem that's dumb. I uh.. we... Her eyes darted up to her body in the man's hands and when she saw that it was actually moving well, she felt a rush of emotion. Elation, confusion, realization and most of all she was having a grand old time. Jade... we, we just and then we.. but now we're.. oooooh. She couldn't have an accurate conversation about it with this muscley savage here gaping around like some sort of savage bound in muscles. GymKid, you can put my sister down now. Gem abandoned her natural expression of excitement and eagerness and replaced it with something that belonged to Jade. Or at least it was something Gem fantasized Jade would have.
Her face set into a vicious glare, every muscle tensing up slightly as if she were waiting for a rebuttal, for any reason to strike. Her hands lowered to her sides and tensed up ever so slightly before the eyes set in. Piercing yet covered in an almost invisible haze. Draped across the vibrant greens as if the haze was there to protect those who looked at her. Protect them from some unfathomed hell inside this woman's soul, just begging for a release. It was a sure bet that Gem had never seen someone run that fast, this guy's retreat would give The Flash a reason to applaud. As soon as he was out of earshot she swept towards her sister and guided her over to a park bench, her smile returning. Facile, ma souer. The rubber treats your body like a marionette. You have to will the strings to move instead of trying to actually move. In a moment of clarity, she knew that Jade would get it fast... they didn't let idiots become assassins.
Near the park bench, she folded her arms behind her back and paced back and forth, brething heavily and trying not to freak out. I'm just gonna recap now.. more for the audience than myself. We've pulled a Freaky Friday... I'm you, you're me. My powers are locked in that body and now my chest is massive. I assume the only reason you're so flexible and fast is because these act as ballast? She paused right in front of Jade and her face exploded into laughter. This is the best! day! ever! Do you know what I can do now that I'm legal!? Alcohol! R-Rated Movies! Allowed to stay up past 9:30 on weekdays! Not to mention she was amazingly gorgeous. Gem cartwheeled around, already used to her new solid form and trying to get out all of her excess happies. She was contemplating a handspring when she had the most devious thought.
Sliding over to the bench, she sat next to her sister and flashed one of those most devious of Jade smiled. I'm the Big Sister now... you have to listen to me. I get to go in your room! Her heart almost stopped as she thought about the joyous treasures in there. Katanas, Headbands, the kimonos... The Kitty Mask! This was too much for Gem to handle right now. She leaned back on the bench and fanned herself, hoping to calm down. I'm 100% Alright with staying this way for the rest of my life.. and it's not just a boon for me. You! You get to look like whoever you want. You can master my powers and become the world's greatest assassin. You won't have to worry about broken bones or livers or.. spleens anymore? There are no downsides to this! Gemini could finally slink away from her Mom's legacy. She could settle down.. have babies now. Oh my god... She could have babies. Her hands went down to her stomach and pressed against the flat, warm patch of skin. She was 100% aware of what this womb had wrought, how much pain and suffering were born of it but.. Gem could be different, she could do it better. She had to be for the sake of her baby! I'm going to name her Sora... Sora River Hawkins. Gem was officially in the stratosphere and no part of her wanted to come home any time soon.

And there she was. Or rather Jade was. She was Jade, Jade was she. It was all kinds of horrifying and the type of hijinks that she neither had the patience or humor for. And perhaps the worst part was the little warning during her time with the Injustice League, back when she first heard about Mr. Mxyzptlk; "Avoid him at all costs." It buzzed in her ear over and over again. She could have done more to walk away from the scene that unfolded between the imp and Wonder Woman, but nooo. As much as she wanted to blame Gemini for even the slightest hesitation during that scene, it was really all Cheshire's fault. It's not like Gemini knew the imp's powers had a way of influencing basically everyone in his sight. Jade's new rubbery face fell.
Gemini (already in full command of Cheshire's body) was quick to dismiss the dog-man Jade had tricked, forcing her to get back to the idea of actually controlling her new (hopefully temporary) body. She half sat, half lied down on the park bench with herself right next to her. It was so awkward, she couldn't even make eye contact. Gemini then began to pace and Jade took her advice, beginning the process of dominating her rubbery form. The ramblings of her partner went in one ear and out the other as she willed herself to gain control. After multiple attempts, she was able to sit up straight, lift her leg, move her torso, etc. It wasn't that hard anymore, but she still couldn't fight a creeping frailness deep inside. Unlike Gemini, Jade was not happy.
When she did finally look up back at her partner, she was disturbed to see Gemini's hands pressed against her stomach and subsequently naming her future child. Jade's eyebrows crossed and she at last stood on her own. "Hey!" she said with a snap of her fingers. "We're not staying like this. And you're not having any babies," Jade frowned. "We need to figure out what happened and then switch back. The faster we do that, the better." She started to walk back to the crater where the bracers had their crash landing minutes before, but she stopped after a few steps to look over her shoulder back at Gemini. "And if a drop of liquor touches my body, I'll save you the tragic drunk driving accident and kill you myself." Jade continued to the crater to find it empty. In fact, it wasn't until that moment that she realized she didn't even have Wonder Woman's bracer anymore. She didn't have it on her person when she realized what was happening and she didn't see it on Gemini right now. If she had to guess a way for them to switch back, she'd put her money on the bracers but without them, she had no idea what to do. Well, she had other ideas, but they involved getting other people into the situation and she didn't want that. Especially after hearing Gemini's enthusiasm. "Where's the bracer you picked up?" she asked.

Wow... Jade grabbed onto the concept of Rubber Control fast. Gem had just been making up some random stuff that sounded good. She was planning on carrying her body around everywhere. Either that was exactly how she had been doing it for years on end... or Jade was just a super genius and should be known across the world as such. She did feel extremely close to her sister now. There was that old adage ' Walk a mile in someone's shoes before you judge them'. Gem had cartwheeled about a hundred yards in Jade's body... so the conversion rate would shake out eventually. She moved to rest her head on her body's shoulder, sit there and plan out the rest of the day... until Jade jumped out of her seat and went off.
Wow.. you really got a hang of my body, didn't you? Plus it's not like we need to get back to Bludhaven anytime soon... You were the one who intimidated the whole party in a matter of minutes... Honestly, Gem had planned to spend an entire week out there, planning and doing this job right on down to the letter, it being her first job under Ivy's Reign... but Jade was just too good for a week. It took her like 2 hours, the extra hour because Gem had to stop at the giftshop. Have I mentioned recently... how you are just.. my personal hero? You make me want to be a better villain. That long thought process was her response to 'the faster, the better'. She didn't want to give this up just yet. Where was the fun if this ended like 4 minutes into it's dura- She was brought to a standstill, thoughts and movement as she saw the look Jade gave her. It sparked some primal fear in Gem's mind that screamed at her to get away from this woman. Only after Jade had gotten to the crater and called Gem over, did she realize what it was. That aggression, that anger... it reminded her of her mother.
Shaking it off, she hopped off the bench and skipped, literally skipped, over to Jade's position. It's right here on my.. your wrist. She raised her arm and tapped against the lump underneath her shirt. She wasn't letting this thing go unless Wonder Woman herself came in and stole it from her. She scanned her body's wrists and scoffed. Dammit, Gemini.. It was in your hand not even 5 minutes ago.. why are you such a fuck up? Her voice barely rose above normal levels but their was definitely a tone of annoyance in their. She stood still for a few seconds before smiling her natural eager smile and spinning around. I'm just messing... you gotta stop being so grumpy, Jade. Especially with my body... Mine is a Funhouse.. and yours is full of evil clows, which I will try to eradicate... with the fiery wave of tequila. She was going to get wasted in this body... whether Jade killed her or not.
Oooh. I know what'll make you feel better.. She stepped around so that she was in front of her body, and smiled, extending one leg out and raising her hands into the air as if she were about to sing. ♪Parkour but hardcore... she makes killing an art form! Death's cold taste, sweet as carte d'or. No need to start wars for a difference of opinion. Give her the name of your antagonist, She'll stick them in the ribs!♪ Yes.. she had in fact written Jade a rap theme song.. and there were about 48 lines in it.. she wouldn't sing them all here, as it sounded better when she copied Adele's voice... Oh damn... now I do want my body back. Let's go find your bracer!

She stared at Gemini still in Jade's raven haired, highly trained and cared for body. Just stared expressionless. It was mostly bewilderment in her eyes, but there was also blind fury in the pupils that she kept from acting upon. After all, any aggression aimed to Gemini would only be damaging to her own body. And frankly, Jade believed that Gemini knew this and was taking full advantage of that fact. Smart girl.
Cheshire sighed when at last silence took over. Gemini's mind was racing as fast as her own, but unlike the young criminal, Jade wasn't vocalizing every thought. She was trying to figure out the last moment she saw the bracer, if there was any sign of it when their bodies were making the transition, or if it was anywhere near the part of town she "landed" in after the change. Nothing was coming to mind. Not even a glimmer or sparkle shinning of the bracer struck her memory. It could be anywhere in New York City, if not someplace else. Now was the perfect time to rage-kill someone, but she staved off the desire. Her new fingers curled into a ball and her fists shook at her sides. It was the only amount of anger she allowed herself to expression. Time for action.
"We can't just go looking for it. It would be a waste of time. By now, it can be anywhere and I'd bet someone's picked it up." An idea formed. She shook her head. Jade turned her head back in Gemini's direction to look at the bracer on her wrist. "We need to go to the Themysciran Embassy," she stated. No part of this new plan would be pleasant. "They have their museum for tourists. Maybe we can find information about the bracers, figure out if they are connected somehow. If we have one, we can possibly find the other." The chances of that were a long shot, she didn't deny it, but there weren't that many viable options at the moment. The only other choice was to find the imp and beg to be changed back. And that she was sure would be impossible. "There's got to be some legend or myth about how they've been joined together or created from the same fire or some bullshit like that. And if that doesn't work," she paused, "we'll just hold the place hostage until they bring us the other bracer," she shrugged. Fighting against Amazons was not the best idea considering neither of them had a full understanding of the other's powers and abilities, but today was a screwed up day so it only made sense to have a screwed up plan. It wouldn't be the worst thing to get in a fight with Amazonian warriors though. No, leave the title for the worst thing to happen for the moment when Mr. Imp gets involved. "We need disguises. And a ride."

There was that look again... the sheer fiery chaos brewing behind Jade's borrowed blue eyes was staggering. It made Gem want to stop... she wanted to apologize to her body, Jade and her mother.. and just hope that this situation was going to resolve itself.. and yet, how many chances did someone get to actually.. to actually pick on their older sister? This was going to bite her in the ass so hard later that she wouldn't be able to sit down for a year... but sitting was for people with small butts and businessmen. You know... my powers revolve around mental state and finding a balance. If you don't release some of those feels you're bottling up.. you're gonna turn to liquid rubber. A clever lie? A concerned truth? Who knows with Gem, the sly smile on her face did nothing to help either.
Gem was about to go off on another tangent until Jade hit her with a plan that... sounded like suicide. Go into an Amazon Museum and look up info on Amazon Super Jewelry. Two Villains, one budding and the other a mega assassin. Then... THEN she had the idea to hold the place hostage. By the nine, Jade was insane! Gem took a few steps back, twirled around on her heels and when she came back to looking at Jade, she had the widest smile on her face. Have I mentioned recently... how you are just.. my personal hero!? Jade!.... J- JADE! I love you. She took a few steps forward and spread her arms to give her body a hug. This was just up Gem's alley, no more bullying politicians, they were gonna do some research on a subject and if things became naughty.. well then she'd get to see if muscle memory was an actual thing. Actually... she was thinking of getting a few hostages anyway. Where do you keep your weapons on you anyway? I... are they... She looked around the area, checking for any listeners before pointing at her borrowed butt.
Wait... no that was just stupid.. she'd think of a better idea while she mused over the disguise idea. Disguising is going to be easier for you than for me. You already have basic motor function down, the next part isn't so hard. Uhh... you think of your body as a whole object, moved around by your brain telling your limbs what to do. With me... With me, you need to maintain the whole marionette idea.. but see your body as a... a mirror. Yeah! She took a step towards Jade, rolled up her sleeves and raised the bracer before Jade's eyes. You're looking into a mirror. You can see your entire form before the mirror, yet.. it's not a solid. You need to see someone else in the mirror. A different body, different clothes, imagine the new body speaking to you.. in a different voice with different mannerisms and a different life. If you can imagine that body replacing yours in the mirror.. then your body should actually follow suit.
It was acting theory 101 for her, her mother would make her practice her powers in the mirror all the time and it was how she learned to be the great shapeshifter she was. Jade was so damn smart though that she'd probably make her own way to shapeshift.. Gem would have to ask her to teach her during the next training session. After she imparted her knowledge to Jade, she cartwheeled away from her body and made her way towards the street. As soon as she hit the sidewalk she took a deep breath and shambled towards the road. Some dude in a jeep almost ran her over before she threw her hands up towards her face and screamed. The breaks screeched to a halt and he jumped out to check on her.
As soon as he approached, she fell towards the ground. He reached out to catch her, when she tested Jade's skills. Extending one leg up, she wrapped it around his neck. Bending her other knee, she came down to the ground, snapping the man's neck in the process. ... best body ever. She grabbed his corpse and placed him gently in the back seat, before hopping in the driver's and moving into the alley next to the park. Even if today was shonky... it was turning out fun.

[ooc - I'm SO sorry for holding this thread up for so long D:]
Gemini was doing to this to her on purpose. She had to be. She knew Jade wouldn't hurt her own body so for the first time since their initial meeting, Gemini could be herself as much as she wanted and Jade could do absolutely nothing. It was a sinister plan, unless of course her enthusiasm was a genuine sentiment. There really was no time to delve into it further.
Jade turned away to scope out their location in the city while Gemini bounced from one topic to another. If they were at the park, the Themysciran Embassy had to be seven blocks north from them, give or take. There, they can do whatever research they can on the bracers, figure out some connection between them in order to find the missing one. Once they find it, there was the actual problem. As much as she wished banging the two items together would change them back, she seriously doubted it. There was no way it could be that easy. Unfortunately, they'd have to find the imp and, "Oh God," she sighed, right about the time Gemini hugged her. She honestly hoped it didn't come down to one of them making out with that hobbit reject. Jade patted Gem's hand to give her some recognition, while still hiding her discomfort.
Changing form sounded complicated, even with Gemini's simplified explanation, but Jade nodded anyway. She'd have to try either way, because if necessary, there was always the dumbest thing they could do, and that was take on a Wonder Woman disguise. It could work at the Embassy, and it could possibly work on the imp. That being said, once Wonder Woman finds out about it, they'd be making an enemy they don't need right now. "Got it. I'll practice in the car, once we get one," Jade answered. As soon as she mentioned the vehicle they had to steal, Gemini was off and straight toward the street. Her heart leaped when the Jeep almost struck her, fearing for both Gemini's sake and the condition of her assassin's body. In fact, Jade was so ready to do something about it that her arms had stretched without her even thinking about it and now they hung on the floor like long rubber string. She went wide-eyed glancing around to make sure no one saw that as she recovered Gemini's original form and ran after the Jeep that she had hijacked so effortlessly. It was impressive actually. She knew just how to work Jade's body. She met with her in the alley and jumped into the Jeep. "Was that your training kicking in?" she asked, actually smiling for the first time since their freaky body swap. "Let's go. We have a bunch of Amazons to piss off." They were on the road now, heading north and toward the Themysciran Embassy. Jade held out her hand and tried Gemini's method of transformation. She concentrated and envisioned her own assassin's hand in place of the young thin one before her. And the staring went on and on and nothing. There was no change. She thought back to how she gained control of the body, and even that provided no answered. Finally, she gave up and dropped her arm back to her side. It was then she realized that her other arm had taken the shape of her original body's arm. While her right remained Gemini, her left was Cheshire's, claws and green nail polish included. "You genius," she grinned, looking at Gemini/herself.

No matter how upset or unwilling Jade was during this hug transaction, Gemini still counted it as a full consensual hug. When she thought about this moment later, there were sure to be a lot more flowers on the ground, full arm wrapped around body contact and both smiles and tears from both women. It was the day Jade actually accepted Gem as more than just an acquaintance. They were sisters. Ohana... she promised herself she wouldn't... oh right a car. Oh yeah she was 100 percent on that. I got an idea.. stay put, kaikua'ana. Like her paraplegic rubber ass was going anywhere anyway.
As she took a man's life with ease, she had a brief understanding of just how powerful Jade's body was. It took 15 pounds of pressure to snap a man's neck.. but for her to snap his neck just by wrapping her leg around it and using gravity? All of Gem's lost sparring matches were beginning to make absolute sense. She had to be holding back to not throw Gem around like a paper plane. Training? Yeah.. not to mention how amazing your body is... you're like a sexy tank in a kimono. As the car bumped and banged around the road, she felt the slight weight of Jade's weapons on her back. That's where they were.. beneath the belt so even being patted down did nothing. She had so much to learn from her older sister that it was embarrassing. Though she did have an idea on how to do the whole disguise thing. She could still get right without her powers.
She parked a block away from the embassy and finally caught sight of Jade's sheer mastery of her powers. Teach me your ways, Cheshire... I want to know what it's like to just be amazing in everything I try. Turning the jeep off, she pulled down the sunvisor and checked herself in the mirror. You didn't happen to bring a change of clothes did you? Like.. something not utterly Jade in essence that could help me not get arrested in there and- who are you gonna disguise as? Cause boy do I have a good one. Well... she said good one, it was going to involve a lot of acting, some gullible people and a spare change of clothes. Okay so, you, now the master shapeshifter. I say you take on the shape of one Cassandra Sandsmark. She's the uh.. the blonde wonder girl and stuff. No one would question her being in the embassy and I think she'd be able to ask questions without actually arousing suspicion. I will be joining you in disguise as well... it'll just take.. Oh dude!
Glancing out of the truck window, she caught sight of a Macy's. I can run in there real quick, make a quick.. yet painfully normal, costume change and meet up with you inside as that other wonder girl.. the black haired one. You could pass as her... a bit chestier and like definitely curvier and what not, but generally attractive black haired girls with muscles... ooh I'd just have to avoid staring at people too long. She admired Jade's eyes in the mirror and knew that some shades would be in order. Unless... of course you have a much better idea than I do... Yeah.. I wanna hear yours. Macy's is a hell of a buzzkill anyway.. you rob them one time and then every time you show up it's all 'oh please don't kill me, I have a family.. She huffed in her seat and glanced around, finally coming back to her own face.
As odd as today is, I'm really enjoying spending this time with you sis. You're always jetting off to go... blow up countries and stuff and we never just.. have a time to sit and talk to each other. Which.. I've been meaning to do with you... ever since you beat up my boyfriend. The last bit was said very pointedly at Jade. It was a total dick move for her to just run around poisoning and stabbing people's boyfriends. I had to take Static to the hospital and the DMV because you beat him like he stole something from you. Now that she brought it up... she was having a hard time remembering if she had ever told Jade that she was dating Static Shock... ooh, this just became a lot more awkward than it needed to be.

While the idea initially made her eyes bulge out, dressing up as Wonder Girl to sneak into the Embassy might not be a bad idea. But Cheshire had so little interactions with the youngest of Wonders it seemed impossible the more she thought of it. Donna Troy she could maybe get away with, but even then she feared the small things would give her away. Amazons are always going on about being sisters. She imagined they'd know each other's personalities and mannerisms after all the family preaching they do. The thought drove her mind back to the moment in the Jeep. Gemini did the same to Jade, refer to her as her sister, but they were far from it in the assassin's opinion. There was so much Gemini didn't know about Jade, things that not even she would admit. Not to mention there were several reasons Cheshire didn't have friends and could hardly even make them. If Gemini knew the truth, if she knew all that Jade was capable of doing for her own benefit, she'd probably be calling her something else. People were right to avoid associating with her. She was poison.
"I'm really enjoying spending this time with you sis..." Jade looked at her partner. It was strange, and yet endearing to here Gemini speak so candidly to her. The young criminal was a living dichotomy with her quick fingers eager to kill a man over his car and a strong desire for family and connection. She was-- "Wait, what?" Jade's thoughts came to a halt. Did Gemini just admit she was dating Static? Her mouth opened slightly as she stared at her partner. "You...you're actually dating Static? And he knows...who you are?" she asked. Now if there was anyone out there who was not one to judge when it came to unconventional and downright dangerous love, it was Jade. Although on her behalf, she didn't know Roy was Red Arrow for some time before realizing he was fighting for the other side. But even after she learned his true identity and he learned hers, they still kept seeing each other, despite the obvious issues. The sex was just too good to pass up.
Jade chuckled. "You should be thanking me for not leaving him there to die," she grinned. "And if he told you I robbed him, it's a lie. A homeless man did it," at her prompting, of course. The time to talk boys was for later, though. They still had an incredibly dangerous and stupid mission to do first. "But anyway, we need to focus here. I don't think we'd last more than a few seconds going in as the Wonder brats. If we're going to be asking specific questions about the bracers, would it seem suspicious if we looked like random tourists? Like those weird suburban types? Better yet, who is least likely to raise any red flags? Old ladies? Japanese school girls?" Her face cringed. Japanese school girls actually didn't sound half bad, but she did not want to see herself in one of those outfits. No way. No. Nope. No.

Right so her initial confusion was actually well placed. She let out a long, increasingly high pitched, whistle as she watched Jade's confusion take a physical form. We've been dating for uh like a month and a half now. The kicker is though, I've been dating him in disguise so he has noooo idea about me... How long do you think I have until this blows up in my face? Long estimate? A billion years. Realistic estimate? A few weeks, 2 months at most. She'd make the best out of it yet. No sure, I definitely appreciate you not giving him a fatal dose.. but did you have to dose him at all? I had to waste Ivy's antidote leaf and now, if I want to go diving around in your perfume collection, I'm screwed. Not... that I've done that before, but metaphors and examples are tricky. She was content with leaving this thread to die and picking up a new one.
The wonder twin idea was too good to use apparently, it would've required delving deep into character and Jade didn't have that skill down yet. Sometimes it was tricky being the best in your field. So another option was required... something interesting and possibly deadly. Able to snap back to reality in an instant to get the fight popping. Japanese schoolgirls was obviously her favorite thing mentioned all day. You came to that answer pretty quickly... some sort of.. fetish I should know about? She looked slyly at her big sister and just imagined all the hidden sailor fuku's stashed away in her infinite safehouses. She did have one joke to make about Jade being far too old to pass as a school girl, but she valued her tongue where it was. Which was actually progress in her self-control lessons. Lessons... that's it. We go in there as teachers. Two non-descript random teachers asking questions and gathering facts because we're putting together a field trip for some.. random school somewhere and we want to be prepared beforehand. Now that was a sound bloody idea. Her other idea involved them going in there as a Mother/Daughter disguise and just asking questions and the like.. but that probably would've brought up some bad memories for Jade. And no amount of singing would be able to cure away Jade's blues once her baby was brought up.
Though I still think the Wonder girl plan could work... just requires some fine tuning and the like. How many chances would she have to pretend to be Donna Troy while actually being Jade.. this was one of those 1 in a trillion moments... and Jade was unopen to the possibilities before them. Imagination seemed to die the older you get. She turned the car off and stepped out. She hopped up and down a bit, stretching her limbs out and loosening up. She hated how stiff this body was. Even if Jade was... quadruple jointed, she still had joints and bones and... things that didn't stretch. So... you get cracking on your fancy disguise while I go buy you a pencil skirt and a silk blouse? There was so much laughter in her voice as she skipped away from the car. As soon as she had the door handle in her hand, she turned and ran back to the car. What uh... what are your measurements... can you come buy it for me? I don't wanna look stupid in there. She gave Jade her very best puppy dog pout, though she didn't know how effective it would be without her natural unbelievably cute face behind it.

Teachers. Well, it was passable, and probably the one idea least likely to get them killed. Jade nodded and turned away as she heard Gemini make her way to the nearest clothing store, but the footsteps stopped so she turned her head back to see her own face doing something she hasn't done in a long time: look innocent. It was almost unsettling.
"Yeah, let's make this quick," she decided. She caught up to Gemini and they walked into a high fashion clothing store. They were certainly not dressed in attire that helped them blend in, but this was Metropolis and there were plenty of tourists around to keep the employees' attention preoccupied. She was quick to locate a passable outfit and a pair of shoes to match without scouring the store for very long. Without a word or a second thought, she walked up to the cash register and placed the items on the counter. The woman behind the register, unable or unwilling to read the expression on Jade's/Gemini's face, decided to speak. "Are you sure you can afford these? We've become a lot stricter about charging to credit cards nowadays." If her face wasn't already exuding irritation enough before the cashier spoke, Jade made sure it was evident now. "Just ring it up," she answered. The woman sighed and began to slowly go about ringing the items up and folding them at a molasses pace. After what seemed like an eternity to simply fold the skirt, Jade leaned forward and smiled; at least, that's all the camera could see. Being an expert assassin, she learned a long time ago about the position and angles the security cameras could obtain from their distance, model, etc. To the camera watching the register, she seemed like a happy customer causing no problems or harm to anyone. In reality, Jade's hand was constricting around the cashier's fragile wrist to the point where she could feel the woman's bones tremble in her grip. "If you don't hurry up, I'm going to break off your fucking hand and beat you to death with it," she said as menacing as she could, all the while still smiling (and still looking like Gemini of course). She let go of the cashier who gasped and whimpered as she did as she was told. "And stop looking around," she added when she caught the cashier looking desperately for one of her coworkers to notice. From her pocket, she pulled out the wallet she had picked off the guy that helped her to the park and dropped his credit card on the counter before turning away and leaving Gemini to get their bag so that they could leave.
Back in the alley and away from any commotion, Jade waited for Gemini to get dressed in her new outfit. Meanwhile, she shut her eyes and leaned against the cold brick wall. She thought of the cashier, picturing her as best she could in her mind. Every detail she could remember from that woman's face and body she tried to recreate in her memory. The color of her hair, the shape of her head, the curves of her body and the clothes she wore. The more she thought about the details, the more Gemini's body began to change her into the image of the woman.

She was going to stop talking. No one could stand having an extended conversation with her so why bother!? She was just gonna sit down, close her mouth and nod her way through until she died! There had to be something wrong with her if she turned every living being off from her with words alone. They weren't even as strong as sticks or stones. She crossed her arms and begrudgingly followed Jade through the store. Her mood improved only slightly during the brief shopping excursion and watching Jade torture the cashier was also pretty but but she was still way down. Snatching the clothes bag off of the counter, she accidentally knocked the bag into the woman's devastated wrist. You have to ask yourself is being such a snobby sow was worth it. Once you've gathered that answer, know that if you ever mention this to anyone... I will make your death Rasputinian. Upon the woman's look of frightened confusion, Gem just laughed and went off to follow Jade. Google it.
She felt much better after that one. Striding past a shapeshifting Jade in the alleyway, she reluctantly whispered a quick, I forgive you., before hiding behind a dumpster and undressing. Now, she wasn't one for oogling her sister and she was 100% positive that Jade didn't swing that way... but given the chance she would tear Jade's body up! It seemed physically impossible that any mother, including ninja assassins, coulr ever retain this level of sexy. She did keep her hands to herself though, respecting Jade's nonspoken but clearly apparent wishes. Slipping into the outfit, she tired her hair back into a ponytail, slid on a pair of sunglasses and smiled her most maternal smile. Good Afternoon, my name is Bonnibel Ocean, this is my assosciate and loveslave Marcelline Fillion and we're here to party. She adopted a slower, slightly higher pitched variation of Jade's voice for the disguise, old habits really. Swinging around the dumpster, she had Jade's regular clothes folded and all of her weapons stacked on top. I kept a few shuriken up my sleeves and one of those sai things under the bracer.
Tossing them in the back of the jeep, she turned and moved towards the building, with a bit of gusto. She was feeling frisky after he bout of being ignored. Not the sensual side of frisky, she could repress that until she was normal again. No, she was feeling violently frisky and if things didn't go well, she was going to be the first one to kill someone. Stay focused on the disguise. If you lose sight of the image in the mirror, you'll revert back. She adjusted her sleeves, put her smile away and made towards the embassy. She half expected to see a bunch of flying brunettes just soaring around, hawing sword fights and punching dragons.. general amazon business. She was sorely displeased to see that it was just a normal and boring building. Crossing the street (with no one to hold her hand, she had to be a big girl), she waited outside the building and peered through the glass doors. Oh please.. let there be a metal detector or some wands inside. She needed an excuse to snuff someone's mortal flame.
Oooh... Jade, I found it! Through the glassy barrier she could see a few security officers carrying a shiny silver bracer on what looked like a royal pillow. Probably to a vault or Wonder Woman's office or something. She smiled her manic smile and looked back at Jade. This was just what they needed to spice this thread up. A choice between combat and stealth.
