Players: Connor, Wally and Kyle. Location(s): Flash Museum Plot Summary: Wally and Kyle rally together to pull Connor out of his pessimistic slump. Just when things are looking good they're crashed by some no-good bad guys!
Connor Hakwe was an introvert. He was a man who kept his feelings and opinions to himself unless the situation demanded him to divulge what he was thinking or how he felt about a situation. As a child he had regularly lashed out against those who treated him poorly. It was a defense mechanism he had been unable to control. Now Connor had learned to internalize his emotions and deal with them through meditation and insight. As a private man he preferred not to recieve recognition for his actions and he always strived to keep his body free of toxins in order to maintain a clear mind as much as possible. With these particular character traits it was hard to explain why Connor had chosen to become a vigilante in the first place. Now that he thought about it had always been about his father. Now that the man was gone from his life Connor was carrying on because he knew this was the only way he could truly make a difference.
The advantages of saving lives were great for his spirital being but there were certain "advantages" that Connor didn't see as advantages. "Connor!" Kyle Rayner made a beeline towards his friends as he held two beers in his hands. He thrust one in Connor's hands and beamed cheesily. "This man here has always had Flash's back! He's someone whose done nothing but serve the people of Star City since he donned the mask. He's one of my closest friends and ah...hell, cheers!" Kyle held up his drink for a moment before he swallowed it. The few people in the crowd who had gathered around the newly christened bar in the Flash Musuem drank as well. The Flash Museum had again been trashed by the Rogues and Flash had saved the day. When the Flash Museum had finished rebuilding a bar had been installed and any public servants who came by the Museum could get a free drink.
Since the museum was having another grand opening there was another celebration for Wally West. In Connor's opinion one of his best friends could never get enough accolades for a job well done as a super hero. He just wished that he could congratulate him privately. Yet Wally had insisted on him coming. Connor had to admit that the people of Keystone City were nice and polite. No one had asked him about his failures at Star City and he had polite conversation. There were a few women who were willing to throw themselves at anyone wearing a mask but Connor had been able to detach himself from those situations politely. As the crowd who had gathered for Kyle's impromptu toast dispersed Connor rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. "Thanks Kyle..." He mumbled.
He handed back the beer. "I don't drink though. I'm pretty sure you know that." He said this politely and passively but he hoped that Kyle got the message. Connor was find with fraternization but he wasn't looking to get drunk. "Come on Connor. Just one night. Get a little loose. Meet some girls. God knows you deserve it..." Connor shook his head. He had a feeling that Kyle and Wally had invited him just so he could take a break from Mia and the anarchy that reigned Ollie's former city. "Wally! Wally come over here!" Kyle waved his friend over. "Explain to Connor why he needs to loosen up."

Wally grinned as he joked with a couple of police officers. They were friends enough that it took him away from his hero friends. He had invited them himself so it said something about these men if he would be so willing to leave Kyle and Connor to fend for themselves. The guys could handle themselves, of course, but it was rude.
Thankfully Keystone was a friendly place that was so welcoming to heroes on the whole. They cheered for men that they weren't entirely familiar with. They didn't know these heroes like they knew the Flash. The speedster family was well liked and worked hard to keep up the good reputation. The fine men and women of the Twin Cities were kind enough to accept them. The brave individuals that made up the police and emergency services were amazing to be so willing to work with him. What he and the others did was technically a crime after all.
He waved to the men and politely excused himself. He had to play the good host to the visiting heroes. He moved through the crowd, doing that political thing and making sure he greeted as many people as possible. It wouldn't do for the mantle of Flash to be tarnished in his own museum.
He blinked as Kyle called to him, making him taking in the interaction between the Lantern and Connor. Why does Connor need to loosen up? Well, that was easy. We don't need another doom and gloom cloud. Loosen up, He stated, of course referring to Bruce. He would have said Batman but Dick was Batman now and he didn't want anyone confused. He glanced down at the beer bottles and grinned.
Don't worry, beer doesn't do anything to you. Its just a weird tasting soda. The red head waved off the thought that it actually could do something to someone. He had never suffered any ill effects. He had suffered zero effects ever. That could be because his metabolism was just so damn high. He didn't have to tell Connor that though. Maybe the gentle omission would be enough to let him give himself just a little leeway. He reached down, touching the other man's shoulder.
The speedster smiled at both heroes, wanting to give them a sense of ease even facing the dangers of alcohol. You can both crash at my place if you get a bad batch though. There's always a good spread in the morning. Plenty of cereal choices. He laughed. Hopefully the guys could handle hyperactive children that can run at Mach One. No, that's not asking a lot of someone hung over.

If there was any hero who could play the part of a politician it was Wally. He was a highly charismatic and personable individual. He was easy to like and always knew what to say to make people feel better. His sense of humor could be a bit immature but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Connor would always be surprised that Wally wasn't mayor of Keystone City. If Ollie could do it Wally definitely could. Yet when it came down to it Wally wasn't a politician. He just had all the traits that a politician wished he had. So when Wally came running over here ready to spice up Connor's mood he couldn't help but smile. His friends knew what to do to cheer him up. Even if they weren't always successful. The charisma Kyle lacked was more than made up for with Wally's attitude. The sensitivity that Wally lacked was supplemented by Kyle's empathy. Connor couldn't help but feel a little more cheerful but not enough to make him eager to interact with anyone.
"Blame the weather." Connor said with a shrug and a small smile at Wally's first statement. His friend was just calling it as he saw it and he couldn't blame him. It was storming something fierce outside. While Connor's emotions weren't in tune with the weather it had been a snarky statement he couldn't pass up. It looked like he had inherited more from Ollie than he cared to admit. "I don't drink soda." Connor pointed out diplomatically. He was a vegan and as a result his diet was very limited. There was literally nothing here at the museum that he felt comfortable consuming unless it was water. He did know that he was by far the biggest stickler to health amongst his friends. Kyle acted like any average twenty six year old when it came to food. Wally? Wally ate worst than his two kids. "I'm fine!" Connor protested a little too loudly.
"I'll take up on that offer." Kyle said after a concerned glance at Wally. "Not too sure if I want to be hungover around your kids, though." Kyle said as an after thought. Connor smiled and shook his head. Kyle and Wally were two of the most responsible people he knew. Wally with his kids and Kyle with his ring. Yet when it came down to it they still came off as frat boys. "Tell you what. I'll talk to a girl but you guys have to promise not to make fun of me behind my back." Kyle glanced at Wally and smirked. "I can make no such promise."
