The Fractious Four [Invite]

Plot Summary: Parasitic zombie creatures have invaded the City by the Bay and its up to a few scattered heroes to save the day!

Amanda was running late but finally she had managed to get home and kick off heels into the corner of her living room. She'd had a long day at work and though the traffic on the way home had tired her out she knew she still had much left to do on her plate. There was cleaning, feeding the dog, doing the dishes, and getting a meal prepared. As late as she was getting home Amanda knew that dinner would be the top priority. She moved through her small home quietly, tiptoeing down the hall where she gently pushed open the door to her bedroom. Amanda only poked her head in for a short moment, the room was pitch black, and Amanda silently sighed. He's still asleep, she thought as she headed back to the kitchen.

She turned on the kitchen faucet then left the sink to open the fridge door, gathering the produce she'd need for her meal. Trying to be as quick as possible Amanda gathered her pots and utensils as well, prepared to put a rush on this dinner. And then she heard the toilet flush from the bathroom. Amanda stopped in her tracks, unconsciously holding her breath as she listened to footsteps move down the hall and toward the kitchen.

"Finally decided to come home, huh? A blond haired man in a white t-shirt appeared in the kitchen doorway, a frown on his face as he looked his wife over. "Traffic was awful, but I'm making dinner right now. Amanda's husband shook his head and mumbled an insult. "Traffic huh?" His tone said he didn't believe her. Moving into the kitchen he crossed behind her and turned off the running water. "All you're good for is excuses. Well I'm hungry and dinner ain't done yet." "It'll be done in fifteen. I promise." "Yeah? Well I'm hungry now!"

Amanda flinched based off pure instinct at the sound of her husband's voice raising. He smiled at her but soon it turned into a frown. "And none of whatever we had the other night. I think it really screwed with my stomach, I been on the crapper all da-" Amanda stared wide eyed at her husband, "Wh-what was that?" They both had heard something tear. Her husband looked down at his stomach, which was beginning to bulge, and he grasped himself tightly. "You dumb bitch! What did you do to....me?!" He lurched forward to swing at Amanda but before he could the bulge in his gut rolled up his chest and into his throat. There was another ripping sound and then the horrible cracking of bone before a scream erupted from Amanda's lungs at the creature on her floor.

People ran the streets screaming in mass panic. The Green Lantern Hal Jordan flew about a mile over the ground searching for the source of all this mayhem. His ring had alerted him to some form of parasitic organisms spreading chaos all over the city of San Francisco. So far his ring announced twenty two casualties. "Get it out! Get it out!" Hal cocked a brow and quickly descended to the ground.

His green aura faded as his boots touched the street, quickly Hal approached the older man who seemed to be under attack by some unseen force. "Sir. Sir! Listen to me, can you tell me what's wrong?" The man was bugeyed, his arms repeatedly slapping his back as if something was latched on back there. "Your back? Is something wrong with your back?" The man didn't respond (at least not with helpful information) but when Hal turned the man around he didn't see anything out of the ordinary. "Get it ooout!" "Ring, give me some insight here!"

Before Hal's ring could respond to his command the older man's back exploded, blood and tissue spraying on Hal as a small grey humanoid leaped out of the man's back. "Holy-!" Quickly a green wall appeared between Hal and the creature, its bared teeth gnawing on Hal's construct.

[Cyclone]

Maxine was flying over San Francisco watching and hearing all the mayhem of the city. People running and screaming of pure pain. When she heard about an emergency in San Francisco she never imagined that it wouldn't be like this. The red haired girl heard through her powers that people were attacked by some kind of humanoid monsters. She wondered where the Justice League could be as this seemed a mission of the League.

"Get it ooout!" "Ring, give me some insight here!"Maxine heard that phrases with the help of her powers. She breathed relieved, if a Green Lantern was here that meant that the League was in the city too. She was starting to feel exceeded as she didn't know where to start to help. There was a lot of chaos of screams but then she heard the Green Lantern screaming surprised. "Holy-!" It seemed that Green Lantern needed help so she flew towards the origin of the lantern's voice the faster she could.

When Cyclone arrived the scene infront of her left her shocked. Green Lantern, the second after Alan, created a green wall to stop a small and horrible creature that resembled a human. Green Lantern was covered in blood and in the floor there was the corpse of an old man with a hole in his back. "Oh my God!! Oh my God!!!!"said shocked Maxine as she covered her mouth. This was exceeding her in too many levels. The creature heard her and jumped towards the red haired girl. Cyclone in an act of instinct summoned a wind current that slammed the creature against the wall. "Did-did-did I kill it?"asked scared the red haired girl. It didn't look like the monster moved.

She then realized that Green Lantern was there too. "Are you ok? Did it bite you or something? I'm-I'm Cyclone of the JSA...you-you probably haven't heard about me sorry. What-What happened? Where is the rest of the Justice League?"she was still a little shocked and started to think that this situation was reaching a "Blackest Night" level. She couldn't move her eyes from the corpse of the old man
