Plot Summary: Apache Chief's rebirth Journey takes him to Star City to talk to the man he saved in his last life: Green Arrow.
Being alive again was something Raven was not quite used to, but then again he had revived others with his magic before so this was a twist in the other direction. After being in the spirit world for so long he was not sure if this was real or a dream, but it was not like he had time to really take it in. No, the white ring on his hand was that of a different power source dragging him to another destination already. The Ring itself seemed to be attached to his very being, as if it was the very thing keeping his formerly decayed corpse in the appearance of his viverent living body.
This magi was given this new life was all Raven could think about. The white ring did help to remind him of this as it had plans for him. Plans that the white lantern entity called 'the Entity' ironically enough told him through Swamp Thing it's avatar. It also communicated through the white lantern ring as well, so it was like he had his own new spirit guide that was even more vague about things to him. Something he was already used to, at least this one seemed to have an ending point somewhere. Maybe.
The first stop on this journey had taken Raven to Star City, the home of the Emerald Archer; Green Arrow. A man that had once led his wife Dawn into temptation to try and hurt him. This they succeeded in, but not they did not get the grand display of hatred or reaction they were looking for. Rather he let them do as they would, because he understood that his wife was confused and did not understand the trials he was facing alone. He forgave her later on, but he gave up his life absorbing a bomb to save the very man that had betrayed his trust and loyalty.
Looking down at the white ring with an inquisitive look Raven almost felt dumb for what he was about to do, but he knew that he had to do so. "So... you have brought me to Star City? Do i seek the Archer in my former tribe?" his question was a bit apprehensive. "Yes and no Apache Chief," a ominous voice replied to him from the ring as it glowed with each word said. "Why do you call me by this name I do not know? I am not Apache nor am I a chief. I am a mere shaman, a magi, a sorcerer, or whatever the modern day man calls me. I am Manitou Raven," he replied proudly and properly back to the ring as he corrected it. "You were once that man, but the mantle of Manitou has been past to another. Your title will become more clear as you seek the truth in your mission, but first you must close the door on your last life so that you may embrace your new life," the ring's words were firm, yet informative, vague yet intriguing.
"Great...wait..? Oliver?" Raven began to rub his forehead in agitation when he looked over to his side and noticed a man down in the alleyway below huddled up against a dumpster. "What? who's that?" called back the man in shambles. "You may be able to fool others with this disguise, but I can sense your unstable warrior spirit from miles away, what has happened to you?" Raven questioned as he transported himself down in front of the man trying to disappear into his own torn jacket. "The better question would be what hasn't happened to me Tonto," Oliver shot back sarcastically. "Joking like you always do. You are not surprised by my presence?" the homomagi was a bit confused at how calm his old ally was. Almost alarmed. "I've seen many come and go, including myself Raven. Plus that white lantern ring is a dead give away. Someone should of really read you the manual. Besides all I want is just to be left alone..." Oliver waved off the revived man. "I do not understand, care to explain?" Raven persisted a bit more as the ring had clearly brought him here to help the man with whatever he was going through. "Not really, but I'm sure whomever you meet up with next will help in that department," Oliver turned to his side making sure not to engage in eye contact with the man. "I do not know why this ring or entity has chosen to give me another life, but the Spirits have blessed me with this gift. I do not intend to waste it, a time will come in the future when I must stop a dark spirit from consuming the earth. I have a feeling you will play a part in helping me stop it. But I understand that we all have different paths to take to get to our destiny. I have faith you will find your way again," Raven pushed more on the conversation, but clearly it was having no effect. Before he could say another word the ring had teleported him away from the scene.
"For both our sakes let's hope not tonto," Oliver muttered to himself as he pulled his hat down on his head. "Glad to see they brought one of the good ones back this time around..."
