Players: Apache Chief, Kyle Rayner
Location(s): Coast City
Plot Summary: The 2nd stop on this journey brings Raven to meet up with a Green Lantern in Coast City, just not Hal.
In a puff of white smoke Manitou Raven was now a top one of the tallest buildings in Coast City. "Where have you brought me now?" Raven muttered in frustration as he looked upon his white lantern ring once more. He had finally met someone he knew and was able to talk to, that he clearly knew that needed his help and yet it yanked him from there to a new location. "Coast City. Home of Green Lantern Hal Jordan and Star Sapphire Carol Ferris. Here you must come to understand the forces you are dealing with further," the ring as blunt and emotionless as before continued on. "So, I am here to talk to Green Lantern?" While the native American tribal mystic was not keen on how his day was going so far, he at least would be getting some answers in the near future. "Correct," the ring confirmed.
That is when out of sky above Raven's eyes locked on the green blur that the Green Lantern often traveled in. "You are not the Green Lantern of this City," without much of a warning the tattoos on Raven's body began to light up as if he was preparing for battle now that Kyle Rayner was hovering mere yards from his current position. "No, but I am one of the four in this sector. And recognize a familiar face" the youngest Green Lantern of Earth replied confidently not giving any ground. "It is good to see you again Lantern Rayner," he answered the young lantern before him respectfully. While this man might not be Hal, he wore the small suit and claimed to be in his tribe. "How's the wife?" he admitted honestly as he rubbed the back of his head as he hovered closer to land on the edge of the building. "Alright, though I have not seen her much lately," Raven explained in brief detail. His wife was not much out in the open, rather she worked from time to time with the mystic world when the time called for it. "Ah, so you are the newest recruit into the White Lantern Corps that Hal was talking about? They are just pulling everyone out of the cellar these days," Kyle joked as he ran his hand through his hair and let out a brief sigh.
"When you arrived my white ring told me that Green Lantern would explain 'the forces I am dealing with' to me," Clearly raven was beginning to understand that the ring knew who and what he was going to be talking to or deal with. In a lot of ways this white lantern ring mimicked his tribal mystic powers without the spirits ridged rules. "Oh yeah? Well I might not be the leading expert on White Lantern business, but I can tell you what I know," Kyle replied trying to be as helpful as he could. "That would be appreciated," Raven acknowledged as he turned to face, gave a short bow, and then lowered to the ground of the rooftop so that he could sit Indian style. "From what the Green Lantern Corps has gathered up to this point, the white power, much like our Green Power of will, is life. So when a white lantern chooses a body it revives that person to the state when they died and gives them the opportunity to 'live' again if they succeed or 'die' again if they fail. Other than that, the white ring teleports, though the user seems to have little control over when and where they are teleported. Also the user regains any abilities they had before," Kyle explained each ability and instance with green constructs to help with his descriptions.
As Kyle moved from construct to construct with relative ease and grace Raven found himself impressed at what exactly these rings could do. It was very apparent that this artist knew how to embrace his true calling into his current line of work. "Hmmm, these forces are indeed mysterious and powerful," Raven stated after taking a few moments to collect all his thoughts on the information he had just received. "You should of seen the Black Rings..." Kyle let out a short laugh. "Black Rings?" Raven questioned back as he vaguely recalled seeing the spirit realm torn asunder from these 'zombie-rings' or the death rings as others called them. But before he could hear the reply Raven was once again gone in a cloud of white smoke.
Shaking his head briefly Kyle then looked into the sky. "I guess he had other places to be...Good Luck Raven. Whatever your mission is I hope you succeed," he stated hoping that his words would reach the man in spirit. Letting his eyes fall he gathered up his strength to go back on patrol. generating a forcefield around his body he then took to the air once more.
