Plot Summary: The ring brings Raven to Dakota City to talk to it's hero Icon who has a message.
"How many stops are on this journey?" Raven asked out of frustration as he appeared on a beat up rooftop of an abandoned hotel on Paris Island with the view of Dakota City across the water. "Nine," the ring answered. "So there is an end to this journey?" Raven asked as he looked around at his surroundings. This was not the best of areas to be thrown to, but their was beauty and garbage everywhere. "Of course," The ring answered again. "How many is this one?" Raven was trying to get as many answers as he could at this point. "This is the forth stop," the ring replied. "I do not recall this city the last time I was here... wait.. or do I?" Raven's mind began to hurt all of a sudden. Dakota City was not that well known the last he recalled, but he did remember a disturbance when he was in the spirit world over the city. "A messenger will come to answer your question in the place of the one that needs protection," the ring stated.
Not even a second later and Raven's conversation was being interrupted. "Manitou Raven?" came a voice from behind and above the man. "That is I, who might you be?" he replied as he turned to face the brown skinned, red tights, and large green capped man hovering in the sky. "My name is Icon. But Dharma, the one you seek, has sent me as the messenger," the hero of Dakota City stated his business clearly as he lowered down onto the rooftop across from Raven. "What message do I need to hear from this Dharma?" the mystic was beginning to trust this ring less and less with each jump. "Much like that ring of yours Dharma has the power of sight," Icon started to explain. "sight?" Raven did not exactly know to which 'sight' the man was referring to specifically. "Yes, time and space. Being able to see the future and all possible branches to infinity. In this specific branch I have to give you a message that will give you none of the answers you seek, but will add another question," Icon replied giving Raven some unfortunate news.
"What is this message?" Raven asked after he took a second to gather his resolve. "When the time comes to face the darkness that would consume the Earth, you must reflect upon yourself and know beyond a shadow of a doubt reality. for reality you see and commit to is the one that connects us all. Understanding the balances of each plane of existence is the only way to truly take on this darkness," Icon stated very boldly as if he was saying it himself and not repeating, though he was actually."Thank you Icon for delivering this message, You have given me much to dwell on," Raven stated his thanks to the hero for being the unfair pawn in this game of curtains. "Rest well," Icon's reply was rather weird. "Huh?" Raven barely got out before the ring launched him onto the next location.
With Raven gone Icon pressed a button that activated the 'shadowslide' teleport system. This allowed him to relocate himself to Dharma's location with ease. "The message as been delivered," the hero stated as he entered the Room where Dharma was still working at keeping the two worlds together, slowly completing the merge was taking longer than expected. "Good," was all the half deity/half man could say at the time. "I hope your vision is right about this one Dharma," Icon added just before he faded back into the shadows away from the scene.
