Plot Summary: Bruce Wayne's home gets an unexpected guest in Apache Chief's fifth stop.
Reappearing in an enormous mansion Raven found himself gazing up and wondering exactly he was in for now. "How did he?" he asked his travel guide. "Dharma can see the future to some regard. This stop was already accepted into the natural flow," the ring answered. "then where am I now?" Raven asked another question, but was cut off by the appearance of a well dressed man. "I can answer that one for you," the lengthy butler made his full figure known as he stepped into the light. "Alfred?" Raven's eyes opened wide as he turned to look over the well known servant to Bruce Wayne. "Indeed sir, welcome back to Wayne Manor," Alfred greeted the native American man.
In the briefest of moments they exchanged greeting bows and smiles to one another. "You will need your strength for when Master Bruce returns from his conference call with WayneTech. By the time you are out of the shower I shall have warm food and a bed ready for you," Alfred stated after a quick look over of Raven. "Thank you for the hospitality, but I will not be..." the homomagi started to speak but was soon cut off by his ring, "Apache Chief. Eat. Rest. Your journey will require your body rested and mind strong." Drawing in a deep breath he shook his head and caved into the hospitality that was being presented to him. The butler soon led him to where he could take a shower and look over where he would be staying for a recharge, Raven was confused as to why now he needed to rest when everything else was rushed. It would appear that those questions would be answered at a later date in time.
After the shower Raven wondered out into the spare room he was going to stay in only to see his old uniform laid out for him. A small smirk formed over his face, it appeared that Bruce Wayne kept in contact with someone that had his cloths on lay away. Once he was dressed he walked down to the dining area where he was given food to fill his empty stomach. As he ate he thought about all the various people he had met on his first day back from being dead. Some familiar faces, while others he had no idea of whom they were. It was clear to him that this time around his life was going to be much different.
Upon finishing the food Raven retired back to his room where he took to the floor to get some sleep. While in the spirit realm he did not have a need for sleep so it was weird for him to be getting some, but now that things had slowed down he realized that his body did need the rest. His deep sleep was broken up by a dream of a bat flying straight at him. He awoke only to realize that it was just a dream and that he was now not alone. "You know there is a bed right?" came a very stern voice laced with sarcasm, a voice he knew very well. "Yes, How long was I out Bruce?" Raven asked the Man That was standing in the door way as he rolled over to sit Indian Style. "Ten hours Sir, but now that you are rested and Master Bruce is back I will take my leave to attend to other matters," Alfred answered as he waited for Bruce to walk in so that he could leave and close the door behind him. "Wow...I forgot what sleep was like," Raven said as he let out a sigh.
"Don't worry about getting up, we can just chat here," Bruce stated to Raven as he circled over by the window so that he could look out it. "My presence troubles you? And yet, you seem the most accepting of the events. Can I ask why?" Raven asked as he looked upon the almost foreboding figure before him. "Experience I suppose, The world has changed, I have changed since you were last among the living," Bruce replied as he did not even turn to face his guest yet. "I know, Through my wife I have see how the world has suffered the loss of your myth and the birth of a new path within your unlikely bat tribe," Raven stated what he knew. "Tribe..." Bruce mauled over the word as if he did not like the sound of it. "Though I will say that I do not appreciate you calling my wife to aide you in nonmystic related issues, her work has and will always be very delicate to the balance of the world," Raven took this opportunity to voice an issue with the man. "Still protective of her in this life and the next?" Bruce shot back as he finally turned to face Raven, "Always."
"So what now? I know the white rings give the 'revived' tasks or missios to complete to 'earn' the right to continue on living," Bruce asked the question that was probably on everyone's minds that had seen or heard of Raven's revival. "You ask as though you are still the world's greatest Detective, but that mantle has been past to another," Raven replied grimly as he slowly rose to his feet. "Is that way your way of telling me that you are not going to tell me?" Bruce inquired as they were now looking at one another eye to eye. "Being that graced me with a soft bed, a warm meal, and a hot shower I will impart a simple message; my task is to save the world from an unknown force in the coming future," Raven gave the man the essentials to the story, but in reality he was not sure much past that himself."hmmm... Sounds like they called back the right person for the job," Bruce could read people, but these white lantern rings were causing a real flux in the natural flow of things. "I appreciate the vote of confidence," Raven could feel the weight of the world on his shoulders as he often had before, but somehow this time around he felt more prepared.
This is when the white lantern ring spoke up, "You are need elsewhere." With that Raven was out of sight and off to his next location. A little disappointed that the conversation did not lead to all his questions getting answers, the bachelor made his way out of the room where he ran into his butler once more. "Our guest has already left?" Alfred asked. "Yeah," Bruce replied back quickly as he shoved his hands into his pockets. "I am glad to see him back among the living," Alfred stated as his boss walked away from him toward the stairs leading down. "I agree..."
